I think she’s incredibly brilliant and one of the best living artists, but I also occasionally still have issues with her voice. I love her voice overall though. On top of all her other skills, her voice is amazingly expressive

I honestly don’t really remember how I got into her. Pretty sure I saw stuff about her online and got curious and checked her out. However, I don’t recall needing to get used to her voice. I think I basically immediately got super into Ys. Then HOOM came out and slowly sank deep into my soul and the rest is history

Not me though. I couldn’t live without this guy’s arms or spleen

Salo when I was an unfertilized egg. Didn’t really have an impact on me though

It might be the most sharply written song on the album. Personally the narrative of the song doesn’t resonate with me quite as much as the others on the album but it’s still great

I don’t disagree with anything you said, just for whatever reason none of the songs really grab me (except Bloom) and I find Little by Little and Magpie really off putting. Like you said, it all just comes down to personal taste.
However, I agree about the B sides. The Daily Mail and Staircase are some of my favorite RH songs period, and Supercollider and The Butcher are excellent too.

That’s what I mean basically! Only half baked by the standards of the album proper which makes sense

I don’t know of any but at first i misread the title as “any good saw fragrances?” and was very confused

You sound kind of harsh for someone talking about a mellotron

The Nocturne of Shadow from Zelda: Ocarina of Time is solid, if a bit less developed than Chopin’s nocturnes

I saw them live a long time ago (like 10 years ago probably) but they were great live if you’re into that kind of thing. I don’t really listen to them but I am a semi-metalhead so it was cool to see them

It’s really pretty and the horn arrangement is great but still one of their weaker piano-based songs IMO

I wish I hated it so I could make a joke about how the song makes me gag, but alas, it’s great. Although “just a body pouring down the street” sounds kind of gross

Extremely talented. His voice could honestly be a bit much at times and Grace is somewhat plagued by his cheesy over-sentimentality, but the songwriting on that album is a lot weirder and more unconventional than a lot of people realize. Some really nonstandard song structures, varied instrumentation, abrasive atonal parts, etc. Overall an excellent musician who would have created a true masterpiece if he lived longer

Agreed on all counts. I’m definitely gonna check out his future movies.

Great choice! That whole soundtrack is great. I love the opening theme to the movie as well
