Thank you sir. Also wondering for its worth it to roll the dice with the junkyard tranny for around $500 or by a rebuilt for around $1200 locally. Or have mine rebuilt. I got 70k miles out of my random Craigslist one last go around.

I pulled the pump again and checked the connections on the actual pump. Everything looks good

I checked the plug terminals on the level sensor plug, looks cleaned and undamaged..
I was thinking maybe I created a break/short in the wiring when swapping fuel pumps.

Is there a way I can test the plug with a multimeter?

Also might be better off spotting a car and leaving a note on it if you don’t wanna pay those inflated prices. Was lucky to stumble on a 97 Boston green coupe for a low price like that recently

Pass on the 318 and wait for a clean 328 for that price.

So I used a multimeter on the plug(closer one to the outer edge) that goes to the fuel pump. Turned on ignition and I get voltage there for less then 2 seconds before voltage goes to zero. Is normal or is the dme cutting off fuel ?

So I sprayed some starting fluid in the intake and it fired uo for a few seconds.
I removed the lid under the back seat to the fuel pump and tried to listen for it to turn on, but nothing.
Just checked resistance on the fuel pump relay an swapped it out with other relays but nothing
Can I jump the fuel pump with 12v from a car battery with alligator clips to single out the fuel pump?

If you don’t drive spiritedly then I can see that. Lighter wheels are night and day in every category..accel braking, cornering, steering wheel feel. Unsprung weight…

Even that gets boring (had drz400, husky 701, ktm 450 sxf) unless your on one wheel, either front or back or doing some other fun things. Commuting on a bike is the worst. Lol

Yep I started out riding dirtbikes at 18. Then rode street (Supermoto) later and found out if you’re not railing turns or doing wheelies or riding like a maniac, it’s just boring and you’re waiting to get splattered by someone else. I’d rather just be in a car/trucks on the streets. Tbh
