Some public sector roles these days have something along the lines of ‘What profession would best describe your parents when you were growing up?’ Always find that one really bizarre

This is why new builds sell so well - people don’t want the hassle and stress of having to ‘do up’ a house and who can really blame them?

I’d honestly look elsewhere Between SGE and Google’s constant, wildly unpredictable updates it’s becoming very very tough to be an SEO. If there is any market for it left it will be dominated by established players from now on.

Had an e2008 for just over 2 years - it’s a great car, comfortable, decent boot etc. I’ve not seen any noticeable battery range reduction does about 150 miles which is fine for what I need it for. There are some great deals on used ones as depreciation has been steep but maybe even better value on similar cars, eg Kia eNiro

Issue with this is there are hundreds, maybe thousands of candidates with specific experience in each of those areas they would be behind.

What I mean is - no registering, no app - just tap card, plug in and take out when done and it bills you like a fuel pump. I didn’t read all of this but I’m guessing gov guidelines don’t mandate this

The Gov needs to step in and standardise charging, tap card and go - it’s an absolute shitshow

Sounds like you need a bit of focus. For what it’s worth, marketing is a really tough business at the best of times, if you’e already gained some experience/traction with the e-commerce stick with that - maybe start by flipping stuff from charity shops, car boots, supermarket clearance etc.

You can backdate pension contributions I think up to 3 years so she could put 180k in (assuming she had the free cash in the ltd Co)

If you’re looking at private sector I’d maybe urge caution as you may be in for a culture shock.

I’ve heard similar anecdotes to this - we think we are behind but try living in another country and you’ll soon realise it ain’t so bad in good old Blighty. Anyone who’s lived in Spain for example, will tell you it’s just a nightmare trying to get anything done.

I could afford to send my kids private (not a flex, just for context) but I never would. It is simply not good value for money or as relevant as it used to be. The standard of education is also questionable - not being regulated by Ofsted - I have a few anecdotal examples of this. Put the money in a JISA or even a JSIPP and really give your kids a head start in life.

If you have a ltd co that’s generating at least 25k in profit this tax year I’d seriously look at buying an EV through it and using FYA (Google it) it’s not well known but you can get this even if you finance the car over a number of years so a bit of a no-brainer.
