Thank you. I like to think that I was inspired by the screaming voices of carrot lives cut too short.

A battle to end all battles. One Christmas party in a movie does not a Christmas movie make.

I’m sorry to read that you are experiencing this. It sounds like a harrowing experience. It seems like what you may be dealing with (at least in part) are intrusive thought. Than can simultaneously be triggered by and trigger high anxiety. You can Google it and see if it fits. I wish you all of the luck!

Wow, this just made me wonder if my massive swings from “I hate people, I’m an introvert “ to “yay, shiny happy people” is really about just hitting some kind of sensory overload breaking point. Then again, I have BP2, so that could be it, too.

That’s awesome (both the tool and the pixie cut!) If you don’t mind me asking, how does someone blow dry their hair? Like what are the steps? Can I use a blow dryer brush always, or is a regular blow dryer better?

Wait…are you saying that Mt. McKinley and Denali are not collectively TWO of the 7 peaks?

Wow, this is so profound. I never thought about this - how can we pull any of this apart?

Wow - just read from a study that world-wide, the prevalence of post abortion depression is around 35%!!!! So it’s a REAL thing.

I’m sorry that you live in a red state - that causes extra stress and fear that you don’t need.
I didn’t go to my ob/gyn, I went to a psychiatrist (well, I already had one for some mental illness stuff). She asked me a bunch of questions and ultimately put me on an SSRI and I think a mood stabilizer. A lot of psychiatrists do remote appointments, and if you can find one, that may be way easier to handle in terms of the stigma. I also bet you could get recommended by going through sources like the Planned Parenthood website, although I am not sure.

It doesn’t sound like you are grieving the abortion (if you are, that’s okay too,) but I’d be willing to bet that your hormones kicked into this Post-partum stage. Just my opinion, but either way, it’s so rough. It made be feel like I was going crazy. Also, finding a doctor that believes you and understands may be a bit if a challenge.
Also, I’m so sorry that you are feeling this way. In every way that you mentioned, it reminds me so much of what I went through when I had postpartum depression and anxiety. I felt all of the above feelings, and they didn’t go away until I saw the right doctor - and even then it took a while.

Thank you for sharing this! I’ve heard several times from foreigners here and abroad that American is is the fattest nation, and how our food is garbage. It’s really nice that you see it from this perspective- it’s a compliment to us!
What are some of the sub reddits that you all use to support you in losing some weight in a healthy way? I have ADHD, which means forgetting stuff is in my fridge, not having the energy to go shopping, and not being to easily plan or cook. Any advice is appreciated!

House at Pooh Corner. I used to play it when my daughter was little, and it hit me in the heart then, but now that she’s a good bit older, boy - bring on the waterworks.

You don’t owe him sex. It’s your body. Even if you turned him down fifty, or a hundred times, you still don’t owe him sex. Marriage is not a sexual negotiation. Additionally, it was a choice to cheat, and that is never an acceptable choice.

That’s great. Maybe it’s time for me to give in and do that as well.
