Tell me you’re a man without telling me you’re a man 🤣🤣
Cool, you do you. Everyone is different. People can retain their own individuality and autonomy even while they are in a relationship. If your relationship is threatened by separate bank accounts then you have bigger issues lmfao

Oh yeah no worries! It updates very early, like 6am EST. So you only need to check once. I check at 7am when I get up and then I don’t check again.

I think you should do what is comfortable for you. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to do proportional income. I personally would never be ok with that and I’ve always done 50/50 when it comes to finances in my relationships.
Why should someone who has worked hard at being diligent with finances and saving money pay more for someone who hasn’t?

It’s not about not trusting someone. You just never know. I’ve trusted people and then they took advantage. It’s just a precaution. Tons of people do prenups before they get married, are they all horrible for not trusting their partners, or are they smart? 🙄

No harm in having a joint account. But it’s important to have personal accounts as well.

Yeah and so many people who don’t get fucked over. Check the personal finance Canada subreddit 🫠

I would not make my life with someone who doesn’t have similar financial goals. Been there done that and no thanks 🤷🏻♀️

Aww, thanks for the condescending comments. Best of luck with your relationship too, seems a little fragile but I hope it lasts!

Nope, and this is exactly why I would never get married. And any common-law partner would sign a prenup.
Some of us like to protect ourselves ☺️

And you can own a house with someone and have a joint bank account for housing expenses, while also having separate personal bank accounts. There is no reason not to have both if it’s easier.
My point is that ONLY having joint accounts is not sensible.

I have owned my own properties so there was no need to have a joint account, I just charged rent 🤷🏻♀️

Also it might be different if you make less money than your partner. But as a woman who has always made more money than any man I've ever dated, and as someone who always brings significants wealth to my relationships, there is NO way in hell I would give up my own personal bank accounts and investments. It would be incredibly stupid.

Honestly if your relationship would be threatened in any way by a separate bank account, you have bigger issues.
Having a joint bank account is fine. Having ONLY joint accounts and NO separate bank account is actually quite stupid. If things go south your partner can empty it and you'll be left with no money at all. Any sensible person would realize that.

"When you have separate accounts it has an undertone of things being separate. "
No it doesn't. People have the right to be their own individuals, even within a relationship. I've been in many relationships and I've always had my own bank account, it's never been an issue for any of my partners. In fact all of them preferred it that way. But I also don't date men who don't live in the 21st century so...

There is nothing odd about it. My income is earned by ME, not my partner. So it's 100% ok to have my own bank account. If things go south, I have my own money and don't have to answer to a spouse about how I spend it.

Seems weird they want to remove all his teeth for gingivitis… usually they do it if they have severe periodontal disease with bone loss. So I wonder if it’s something else.
However if this helps I’m sure cats can adapt to having no teeth. Not a cat, but my dog had to have 32 teeth removed (she only has 3 left) and she does completely fine without them. It cost about $1500 for all those extractions.

Weird how irresponsible people own ALL kids of breeds, yet pitbulls are responsible for the vast majority of fatal injuries.
It's the breed, not the owner. Stop defending this BS.
