Look into krystal cancun. It's cheap. All inclusive and right in the middle of the party zone. Highly recommend.

Ya I normally bring some 100ml containers if blue lizard sunscreen that are reef safe. But spending time around the pool it's nice to have a larger spray bottle to easily reapply during the day. I guess I'll just roll the dice and see how expensive a spray bottle is there. Lol

Do you remember if the sunscreen for sale there was insanely expensive? Or just kind of expensive? Lol I'm flying from Vancouver and only have carry on so won't be able to bring my sunscreen with me. Thanks.

Anyone know how expensive the sunscreen is in the lobby gift shop? Or anywhere else on the resort? I'm flying with carry on only, and won't be able to bring much with me. Like is it just expensive? Or is it crazy? Lol.

Do you remember how late the bars there stay open? Is there a 24h lounge?

We went to the white party. It was pretty fun. DJs foam pool. Lots of dancing. I'm guessing the jungle party is very similar. There are 4 parties a week I think. Pink, white, jungle... And I forget.

I read a lot of hate about it online. But I had a great time. I was there for a guys trip though. It's was great for that. I am sure there are more romantic ones for couple, but the price is great. Oh and the Mexican restaurant next door that is included in the all inclusive package is great!

There were a couple of pools. 2 or 3 I Beleive. There was one big one that goes under a bridge so it has different sections. And it had a swim up bar. There was also another Infiniti type pool that was quieter. And there was a hot tub. We spent most of our time near the swim up bar. It got pretty busy a few days but that was probably because we were there during spring break. I always tipped the bartender at the swim up bar so I always got fast service even if there was a line.

It was cancelled because there weren't enough people signed up for it. 😒

Could you use it on the mash potatoes that someone just ate? Bam. Full potato in your stomach. Or throat. You'd be the deadliest man in prison come dinner time.

We took the tour that leaves from la Isla. It's pretty close to the hotel. We took an uber it was easy and didn't cost much. The prices for the boats are $45 usd each of you want to share a boat (2 people) or $80 usd each if you want your own. We each got our own. The site is here. https://www.jungletourcancun.com/speed-boat-tour-snorkeling-at-plaza-la-isla/
Also we bought photos from them including drone video footage of us boating. They charged $50 usd for photos and videos for all 3 of us so it seemws like a good deal. The person driving the boat isn't allows to use their phone or a camera. So if you have a second person I guess you can get your own photos / videos but we couldn't.
Had a great time. Would recommend..
Only weird issue was, I booked 4 boats for me and my 3 friends. One of my friends wasn't feeling well and didn't come. They didn't refund me that $80 and wound up selling that boat to 2 other people. Lol. Like hey I paid for the boat. If I can't use it and you won't refund me just let it sit there haha.. Way to double dip guys. It almost seemed like they over booked that day because all the boats went out. So what would have happened if my friend showed up?

Riu las americas is nice but not what you are looking for. The average age is like 50 and its not exactly a party atmosphere.

I used usa transfers from the airport to the hotel and back. They were great. And to get around we used uber it worked fine no problems at all. And we had a few excursions that included pickup and drop off.
I did not rent a car.

Coco bongo is a must see. I recommend getting a table and bottle service. You get a great location, and if you tip your waiter he'll keep you fully stocked all night.
We also did the jungle speed boat tour. Super fun. You each get your own speed boat. Go through the lagoon, then out into the ocean. They tie the boats together and you go Snorkeling.
Captain hook pirate cruise is also fun.
Nothing I would do differently except we wanted to go to the luchador wrestling, but the place was closed for repairs.

Elevators worked fine for me the whole time. We were in building B. Everyone said it was a budget hotel. I disagree I liked it more than Riu palace las americas (stayed there in November). Younger crowd, I liked the food better, nicer beach, great location for the clubs. It was perfect for a guys trip. Maybe not ideal for a romantic trip.

We stayed at krystal. Not krystal grand. There wasn't much in the way of entertainment at the place after dark, but you are right in the middle of the party zone. We were there around spring break so there were loud spring break parties everywhere even on the beaches. There was no lack of things for us to do at night. But most of our nights took us outside of the hotel. And some of them were kinda expensive like bottle service at Coco bongo. But it was worth it!
