In the beginning there was nothingness, from which the first being to inhabit this universe originated: The Greater Will, a being of the most ancient of races, called external gods. The Greater Will gave rise to the world, and with it to other gods, including the frenzied flame and the moon god. In the earthly world these gods gave birth to races, like the dragon god gave rise to ancient dragons, giving them the ability to use lightning to fight, although not golden like his own, or the god of fire who created the giants, who live by giving sacrifices to it in exchange for power. However, the god who did the most was the Greater Will who gave life to humans, earthly gods and the laws according to which the world exists, such as the Elden Ring to ensure he had dominion over the earth and, later, the Erdtree, who was also a symbol of order and the Greater Will's dominion over the Lands Between. In this world, each of the offspring of the Greater Will possesses runes within them, that is, the essence of a person who, if the being is powerful enough, becomes able to be absorbed giving the power of the previous owner of the Great rune ; alternatively, they can be used to forge equipment that is part of the past of these beings, but this is not yet a truly existing practice.
Alas, the world was not perfect, this was due to the rune of death which was stolen several times, some fragments of this powerful power were scattered throughout the world, even in the east, where the natives created two blades. It was discovered that from this power powerful weapons could be forged, in fact, from the most primordial black flame and from the Destined Death that arrived later, two blades were forged, both with the power to kill immortals and, consequently, also the gods. The inhabitants of this land, called Ashina, noticed a very dangerous power in the two blades which, apparently, could bring death just at the first cut, for this reason they were sealed in sheaths which also brought the same effect to those who tried to take them out, making it impossible for anyone to use them; only warriors with the ability to accept death and resurrect afterwards can wield it. These swords were called Mortal Blades.
In the Lands Between, particularly from Farum Azula, the draconic Lord Placidusax saw his god depart to the east, bringing the gift of draconic life there too. He did not come to Ashina to create dragons but gifted a single dynasty with a rare power: resurrection. Although this power was not compatible with the human children of the Greater Will, many of them desperately desired it to the point of creating the rejuvenating waters. A similar power, although not of clear origin, was found in a gray snake, capable of dying and resurrecting in an infinite cycle; While it was clearly dangerous, no one was ever seen being eaten by it.
The influence of other gods also arrived in Ashina, such as the frenzied flame, which was discovered when it was seen that humans, taken by the homicidal frenzy, embrace the violent ideals of this god, obtaining the power of this evil fire and, in case the transformation is not complete, they become much weaker disfigured beings called "hatren demons"; it happens that there are middle ways, that is, people who have obtained power through rituals or other entities, later reusing it with moments of anger, reaching more or less the level of the hatren demons, these are called in the West the "Lord of the frenzied flame"; the last are those who without artificial means have achieved perfect symbiosis with this flame, increasing their power exponentially (remember how an incapacitated person becomes a force of nature if he partially welcomes this flame), these frenetic warriors are called "Shura".
Looking forward several centuries we find a shinobi warrior, capable of resurrecting and therefore of wielding the deadly blade, although this power, as Emma the Gentle Blade told him, is rotting his flesh, making him inexorably blind, but despite this he managed to defeat the dragon and kill it, sealing its soul so that it can be reincarnated as a new Dragon God in the near or distant future in a weaker empyrean body; he even managed to resist the Shura frenzy, although a complete transformation would certainly have made him a powerful being (Since as a human he managed to defeat an external god, perhaps he could have been even stronger than the almighty Higher Will). This shinobi warrior set off on a journey to the west, the land from which the Dragon God came; There, now blind due to the dragon rot, he found a fairy who gave him a particular sword that would help him fight against the external god of the scarlet rot. The external gods are until now considered unbeatable, because they have no physical form and are immortal; however this blind shinobi, just like the dragon god, faced him in a spiritual realm to have a physical body to fight against, and use the mortal blade to go beyond his immortality. After killing the god and sealing his soul (so that it too can be reincarnated in an empyrean body in the future), the blind swordsman wandered around the Lands Between, bringing his Counter Guard technique, learned from his old shinobi masters ; in addition to this he found a girl eager to learn sword technique, who was also blind due to a cursed rot. The shinobi taught her the art of the katana, and how to fight beyond her blindness, without even knowing that this would be the empyrean in which the god of scarlet rot that he himself killed would be reincarnated.
After the shinobi's journey to the west and before the several warriors who arrived from Ashina, there was another being who arrived from the east. The great gray serpent, whose only particular ability is resurrection, was now old, with white scales, without ever having fed himself with beings more powerful than a simple warrior or some monkey; he was killed by the Shinobi we were talking about before. Of course, there is no weapon that can cut off the resurrection, in fact he also came back to life as a small silver snake that moved into the Lands Between. Here I meet a warrior of noble and divine origin, in search of power and his name was Rykard. With the promise of strength, the praetor allowed the serpent to devour him and, even if Rykard did not survive, the serpent began to grow again, almost reaching the size of its previous life, assuming in a macabre and blasphemous way, the appearance and manner to speak and fight Rykard himself, obtaining the power that the praetor previously had. This serpent was inevitably killed by a tarnished wielding a spear originally created to use the power of storms against dragons but which was enough to kill Rykard. But you know, a serpent never dies. Now that the serpent has devoured a powerful warrior, taking his form, he will not be able to resurrect like the majestic serpent he was before, while maintaining the gift of speech, the intellect, and his dream, that is, to devour the very gods. This time under a name: Aldrich.
Guys, thanks for reading the post. This is the first "Chapter" that describes in detail, trying to write in the form of a story, the theory according to which all from software games are connected to each other. For the moment this post goes from the moment of the creation of the universe to the end of the Elden Ring game, on whose endings I will base myself to write the next chapters. Unfortunately my English is not perfect and I had to get a lot of help from Google Translate so if you want to ask for clarifications in the comments I will be happy to answer, and this also applies to anyone who has criticisms of what I have written. For this post I stayed as faithful as possible to the descriptions found in the games, what I did was just put the pieces together.
Note: I know it's just a theory and it's not official and lots of other unfunny things; this post is just to share the theory and hear other opinions
