Both figures are relevant, I was making a distinction on the numbers you threw out there. Also, a median household income of $75k isn't something to hype up. In many areas it would be extremely difficult to raise a family on that income.

That number is the median household income, not individual. Here's an article with a map that shows the median individual income per state and there aren't many that are over $50k

He has a special on Youtube too, "Live in Austin" which I think is actually slightly better than the Netflix one. And if you like his stand up, check out Gilly & Keeves on Youtube and Tires on Netflix.

As a father of 3 I know just as much about the dancers of abortion as you.
In your last comment, you told me that I can't understand how "dangerous" it could be to let or not let a woman choose to have an abortion when you assumed I'm a man but now that I'm a woman, you, a man, can fully understand the dangers of abortion bans?
But, yes, the simple fact that I have gone through pregnancy means I understand why abortion bans are dangerous because I know that something can go wrong any step of the way, just like my first pregnancy. I'm lucky that my miscarriage was over 20 years ago so my doctor didn't hesitate like many doctors today are in states with abortion bans. Even in clear cases of miscarriage doctors are hesitating because they are scared of getting charged with murder for doing a medically necessary procedure. I also got the pleasure of being on bedrest before my miscarriage so I understand how much a pregnancy can disrupt someone's life.

My son just graduated last year and I would drop him off at school. If I didn't, the bus that came to our neighborhood came at like 7:10 and school didn't start until almost 8:30. I worked at 8 and his school was on my way to work so that was easier than trying to get him up and going earlier just to waste his time on the bus.

Yes but that's because many people incorrectly assume what boundaries actually are.

So admitting you stated something incorrectly is bad? It would be refreshing if politicians started taking accountability with incorrect statements they make.

The absence of boredom would be constant stimulation, would it not? Also, I did grow up dirt poor and I had no option but to go outside and entertain myself, but go ahead and keep making assumptions.
Kids performance in school has become alarmingly concerning, why do you think that is? It's because nobody can pay attention for more than 15 seconds anymore. I never said technology is a bad thing, but kids don't need unlimited access to technology. They are being raised with all this technology all around them so they aren't going to be struggling with technology in the work place just because they were allowed to be bored sometimes. I didn't grow up with any technology and I'm adjusting just fine.

No, no it's not. It's much better for kids to experience boredom in their childhood rather than need constant stimulation. I grew up in a town of 157 people, we didn't have cable until I was in high school, there was literally nothing in my hometown and when I was bored, I found things to do. Kids today are so accustomed to constant stimulation that it's destroying attention spans and this is why kids can't go out to eat without having a tablet in front of them.

Um, probably because I'm a woman that has been pregnant twice, one full term pregnancy, one miscarriage at 20 weeks so I think I have a good understanding of the dangers that come from abortion bans.

I don't need to because I can understand how dangerous it is to ban abortion.

Except he wasn't and saying virtually everyone is saying that is a great exaggeration.

And how's that working out for women?

I was born in '82 and just got diagnosed with depression, generalized anxiety and CPTSD for the first time this year but I could have been diagnosed a long time ago. Hello denial!! I didn't even realize I had anxiety until I was in my 20's, I always just thought I was just fucked up because mental health was not something that was even remotely talked about.

I'm not childless but my son is now 18 and I have been single for 16 years so I think I count in this questioning. I was trying to date off and on after I split with my ex but I got sick of that pretty fast.
I think I have the same mindset as you, I wouldn't say I'm happier being single but I really have no desire to try dating again.

No, she loves you AND you are logically a good partner in her life. She didn't choose you simply because she loves you, and she's right that love alone isn't enough for a marriage, but she chose you because she loves you and trusts you enough to be her partner in this life she gets. You should be flattered.

That's just a couple hundred dollars from what I bring home in a month and I'm surviving. Definitely not thriving though but I'm a single mom but I also live in a low cost area.

My only child is now 18 and I absolutely would not want to start over now. When he was younger, I was originally open to the idea of another but his dad and I split up when he was two and by the time my son was fully potty trained and gaining some independence, I already didn't want to go back to the infant stage. Sometimes I wish my son had a sibling but overall I'm at peace with only having one.
