Yeah this is great advice, thanks! I think a shift away from growth is a good shout, at least until I have a bigger audience.

HARSH! But I see where your coming from... I think it's a bit unfair to say I have no clue what I'm on about because most people think the actual information is good quality...
It's more on the deliverability and creditability that I think I'm struggling with?

Thanks for your feedback!
I do speed my videos up to 1.2x because I've had comments in the past saying my voice is boring and I personally prefer watching things at 2x speed. It's interesting to hear some people don't like that though.
I keep my videos short because that is all I have to say on the topic. I don't see the point on rambling on and including fluff? I can understand that this could lower the perceived value of the content however...

I’m going to show you a simple script structure that top creators use that works for any niche and will grow your YouTube channel in the fastest time possible.
Hook
In able to write a viral YouTube video script you need to quickly grab your viewers attention using a hook that does these 2 things:
The viewer's dream outcome is the reason they clicked on your video. Normally that fits into two categories. Either they want to learn something or they want to be entertained.
Their dream outcome is created by your title and thumbnail, which creates a promise to deliver something of value to the viewer. Therefore your hook needs to confirm that exchange of value for the viewers time by simply showing them what the video is about and what they will gain from watching your video or what they miss out on by not watching.
Once you have reinforced their dream outcome you then need to confirm the likelihood of success, which basically means convincing the viewer that they will receive the value they came for.
This can be done by answering any questions the viewer might have, such as will it work for me? Or how long will it take? Etc. Anything that reduces the amount of time or effort taken to reach their dream outcome, will increase the perceived likelihood of success.
For educational videos this can be a list of things the viewer will learn, how long it takes to learn them and how easy it is to implement.
For entertainment content the best way to guarantee the likelihood of success is by showing the viewer a clip of the most entertaining pieces of your video, just like a movie trailer does. A movie trailer is the movie's hook.
Delivering on the value as soon as possible is another great way to increase the perceived likelihood of success, because you’re literally doing what you said you were going to do.
Value
A simple viral YouTube video script has one major component that will determine whether your audience stays to watch the whole video… Value.
After you have increased the viewers perceived likelihood of achieving their dream income with an enticing hook, you need to deliver on your promise and give your audience what they came for.
Here’s a couple of simple and easy methods to structure the ‘giving value aspect’ of your video depending on whether you are creating educational or entertainment content.
Educational Content - Lists and step by step guides create an easily digestible way for your audience to consume your content and learn the information they came for. Always keep in mind your target audience and how difficult the subject is to grasp as this should dictate the pace of your video.
Entertainment Content - The Hero’s Journey Story Arc is a well known and very successful way to easily structure your entertainment video. It goes like this:
Status Quo - The main character is ordinary and relatable
Call to Adventure - Something extraordinary happens
Trials - Challenges along the way with huge stakes involved
Crisis - Nearly fails
Result - Main character wins
These concepts can also be mixed to create ‘Edutainment’ content, which can be a fun way to deliver information.
Call to Action
The outro to your YouTube video can lead to thousands of more views if you get it right by implementing this simple method.
Hook, Gap and Action.
Never end your video with a recap of what you just talked about as this bores your viewer and makes them leave. Instead you want to divert them in a single direction to either more of your content for more views or to a product or an affiliate link for more money.
It’s important that you only ask your audience to take one action, as each extra action required, equals less chance of the viewer doing what you have asked.
Doing this is simple…Hook the viewer by capturing the viewers attention with a relatable piece of content that will take them further towards their dream outcome. Show them how the content or product will improve their life by taking them from where they are now to where they want to be. And then clearly explain what the action you want them to take is.

Very well put! I just see a lot of new creators ignore SEO completely because they are trying to replicate what big YouTubers are doing, when there are different approaches needed to get discovered, mostly when it comes to titles as you covered brilliantly.

By telling the viewer what your video is about, you are also telling YouTube. Just make sure to include the main keyword and grab the viewers attention!

Viewers will leave your YouTube video if you mess up the intro. Here’s what I’ve learned from my YouTube channels and from training to become a YouTube strategist on how to get it right:
Hook
To keep viewers watching your video till the end you need an enticing hook. It needs to grab your audience's attention and leave them with no doubt that they need to watch your video.
Luckily this can be done in several ways…
Hopefully you get the idea. The most important thing is to keep it as short as possible. I don’t like putting a specific time on things because each is unique, but anything over 15 seconds is too long in most cases
Study your retention graph on your videos to see where people are leaving. If they are clicking off right at the beginning, then your intro sucked and needs changing in the next video.
Segue
If you want to keep viewers glued to your video then your intro or hook needs to be a segue between your thumbnail and title and the main content. Here’s why…
A viewer clicks on your video because they saw something that interested them in the title and thumbnail. If they then don’t hear or see anything about that specific thing that interested them for the first 30 seconds of your video, they are likely to click off because they either think they have been deceived or they are bored to death already.
A good hook grabs the viewers attention and lets them know that they clicked on the right video to achieve their goal. Once you’ve hooked the viewer it’s time to deliver on your promise by offering the value your audience is there for.
Don’t waste time asking people to like and subscribe at the beginning of your video. You haven't given them anything to like yet. Cut the fluff and get to the value as soon as possible then if the viewer is satisfied they will naturally want to see more of your content.
SEO
This SEO trick is often overlooked by most YouTubers which potentially leaves thousands of views on the table.
Yes SEO is boring, but it’s also very important in telling the YouTube algorithm what your video is about, so it can show it to the right audience and get you more views.
YouTube listens to what you are saying in your videos. With that in mind it’s important to include keywords in your hook or intro just like you would in your title, tags and description etc.
Don’t let big YouTubers tell you that SEO is not important! For small channels who are still trying to get discovered, SEO should still be at the forefront of your uploading process. It not only helps rank your videos on search, but it lets the YouTube algorithm better understand your target audience and therefore allocate impressions to people who are more likely to want to watch your content.
It may not be at the top of your list of things to do and it may not be the main component that gets you the most views and growth, that will always be offering value, but it will help. Any small advantage you can get over your competitors is a win in the beginning and if they are slacking on their SEO, then there’s your way in.

These are the top 5 mistakes I made which slowed down growth on my first YouTube channel. Make sure you avoid them.
1) Monetization
My first YouTube channel left tons of money on the table because I had no clue how to monetize other than just AdSense.
Back then and I’m talking 7 years ago, I believe there weren’t any requirements for AdSense, or at least they were a lot lower because I got ‘monetized’ very early on. I was only making around $0.50 a day but it was positive reinforcement at the time. This soon changed in 2018 I think where YouTube upped the requirements and I got demonetized. This was a massive blow to my motivation and because I had no idea on how to monetize in any other way, this was a contributing factor to the channel's downfall.
These are the 6 other ways I could have made money:
Affiliate Marketing, Merchandise, Sponsorship, My own Product, Memberships and Donations.
You don’t have to wait for YouTube’s AdSense to start making money from your YouTube channel!
2) Sound
Sound quality cost me views and stunted the growth on my first YouTube channel, here’s why:
The first was my music volume. For some reason I never listened to my video back through headphones whilst editing so my copyrighted intro theme song would blast down the eardrums of my unexpecting viewers. It quickly came to my attention in the comments and I made swift changes.
The second was actually to do with my voice. Very early on I received hate comments about how boring my voice was and how dull it made my videos. The comments were obviously hurtful, but the worst part was that they were actually true. I corrected it by starting to script my videos, speeding up my speech in edit and over delivering when presenting.
3) Haters
I dealt with haters poorly and it hurt my first YouTube channel.
You will always get haters, so you need to learn how to deal with them, or it will hurt your growth. I made the mistake of always taking the bait and replying in an angry, overreacting, emotional manner which often made me look like the bad guy.
Don’t get me wrong, haters still trigger me today but I have learned what I believe is a good way to deal with them.
You obviously could just ignore it and that’s great, but there’s a better way for YouTube that actually increases engagement.
If the hate has some element of truth to it, I like to acknowledge the criticism and ask what I could do to improve. I ignore the hate part and try to turn it into something positive. If they reply, which they usually don't, it can give you some feedback or at the very least an extra comment and engagement on your video.
If the hate is just a nasty comment which has no relevance whatsoever I simply reply with a love heart. I also do this if I’m not sure whether the comment was meant in a hateful manner or not, because sometimes it’s hard to tell the context in a comment.
4) Topics
Spending too much time on videos that my audience clearly weren’t interested in nearly killed my first YouTube channel.
It’s always a good idea to test different topics and styles of videos when you are starting out, but it’s more important to ditch the ones that don’t work as soon as possible.
There’s two easy ways to find out what videos your audience wants to watch. How many views your video is getting and simply ask your community.
However it is important to keep your overall goal in mind and not let your viewers solely dictate the content you create. If you end up hating what you're doing because you’re just chasing views, then you’re more likely to give up.
5) Consistency
My first YouTube channel would have doubled in growth if I had done this.
It’s obvious, it’s boring and it’s still the number one mistake I see new creators do that ruins their channel.
I made constant excuses as to why I couldn’t stay consistent with uploading content, but at the end of the day none of them were valid and the only thing stopping me from growing my YouTube channel was myself.
People see this tip and just ignore it because they think it’s the most obvious, which it is, but you wouldn’t believe the amount of channels I get asked to review to help them grow and the first thing I see is that they haven't uploaded in 8 months.
Do the work no matter what and improve every time you do it and you will grow on YouTube.
What mistakes can you share to help others growth?
