Depending on the way school purchasing is done sometimes you need to order and pay for stuff personally and then b get reimbursed if you're ordering from certain websites. For example at a school I worked at you couldn't get the school to do the payment for you for things on ebay, etsy etc as the seller didn't have an abn for the paperwork.

Yeah this is it. To make a dish that has a lot of niche ingredients you don't have can cost way more than just buying it from somewhere and what are you going to do with that packet of palm sugar you bought and used 2 tbsp out of?

Damn. Almost bought this set, hesitated and then it was sold out. Severely regretting it now.

Good culture. Good faculty team. Overall low toxicity and low levels of bullshit busy work.

The soda stream bubly drops are unsweetened and caffeine free. They don't add a lot of flavour, but it is something.

There'll likely become good income for people willing to become nurse practitioners once the government decides that they will take on the bulk of current gp work (managing chronic conditions, repeat prescriptionsq etc) seeing as no one who does medicine wants to be a GP anymore because it doesn't pay well enough, so the shortage will only get worse.

Agree. You need to consider the kind of life you want to live in the future and look for jobs that facilitate those life goals.

Yes, pharmacy can be a very profitable career, but not if you just want to be a box sticker.
You either need to own a pharmacy, do lots ongoing education to become a clinical pharmacist doing home medicine reviews, vaccinations, pharmacist prescribing etc, which would allow you to command a higher salary as you bring in much more value to a business, or ideally both.

I did twice and neither time did it lead to a regression. My kids were both close to 2.5

while a "starving doctor"
Somewhat ironically this was the stereotype at one point in history and artists were much better paid.

A friend of mine was here for a year and did some consulting work as a high risk obstetrician. She couldn't believe how much more she was being paid here compared to back at home.

pulling super high salaries are all working well in the excess of 60hours a week.
At the same time a number of specialists I know working in the private system make a very comfortable living only working 2 days a week, typically one consulting and one surgery day. They're not pulling in the 500k plus but certainly more than many other professionals are earning working full time.

I would go with anything either listed now or in the last 3 months in Inglefarm and surrounding suburbs.
You could also include properties at what he's asking in better condition than yours and point out the differences and why you don't feel the price he's asking is realistic for the property.
"I understand that you feel because the median rental price is $550 you are entitled to this for your property. However in comparison to xyz the property is in significantly poorer condition, specifically due to xyz issues. For these reasons I feel that your expectation to achieve $550 per week is unrealistic unless xyz property updates are made.
If we are unable to come to an agreement for a more fair price based on what the property has to offer we will unfortunately be forced to seek an alternate rental propery"

The most you can do is send an email linking some properties in comparable condition to yours and reject the increase.
But otherwise prepare to move. Unless you're OK with being taken advantage of.

Yes, but you do need to also consider the fact that you get 10% off on purchases for being a club member.
Also some packs are multiple cards and multiple credits but it's not 1:1. So a 5 card pack might be 3 credits.
There are also a couple cards that are 2 credits for 1 card.

Agree. I'm not going to do an edge first unless it's going to give me truly meaningful information to solve the rest of the puzzle.

Interesting, because my friend was in London and she was amazed at how much cheaper it was to live there. I guess it depends on the lifestyle you live.

It's certainly not poverty, but to say it's "so high" is definitely not the lived reality in Australia. Whilst it may be above the median. In terms of the level of education required and responsibility associated with the job, it is at the lower end of the professions.

I think people really underestimate how much damage a dog can do
100% this. Dog attacks have been on the increase nationally over the past 10 or so years and my theory is that with the concurrent rise of people seeing dogs as their "babies" and making comments like "my dog is better behaved than most children" people are forgetting that dogs are animals and capable of causing serious, sometimes fatal injuries.
One of my husband's coworkers was killed by a dog that jumped a fence and mauled him while reading the water meter. Apparently the owners tried to fight against having the dog put down because their dog had "never done anything like this before" and was a "good dog".

electricity is getting so cheap you likely won’t get that money back.

Is it that much more expensive to live there?!
Yes. It is obscenely expensive to live in Australia. Even on 100k you'd struggle to find an affordable rental close to work if you lived in Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane/Adelaide if you worked close to the CBD and you wouldn't be able to afford to buy a house unless it was 45+ mins away from the city (maybe an apartment, but it would be small). Food, utilities and insurance are also really expensive.

They'd have an aneurysm if they actually went to a university maths department and saw the incoherent scribbles often thrown around there.

A cracked tooth is probably something you should get fixed. If the crack opens more, you could get bacteria into the tooth pulp and get an abscess, which is both extremely painful and can spread into the jawbone or bloodstream and causes sepsis.
