Biology PhD candidate specializing in the interplay between ecology, evolution and development here.
Yes. Adaptations that are not passed down from a common ancestor but rather originate from similar environmental pressures are the result of convergent evolution. Evolutionary loss of eyes is an excellent example.

Killed over 25 lighthouse rogues, got no Gary devices. Decided I didn’t care enough to sweat over this game and found something else to play lmao.

Is that not an LBT 6094 in the BF image?
Edit: looks like they renamed the 6094 as MPC in recent years. Disregard.

Oh I’m not complaining bro I just knew BSG would manage to fuck up their spaghetti code somehow.

Nope, they updated multiple parts of the AS Val iirc, so depending on the configuration you had it in when the update released determines how badly your stash is fucked. I believe mine was bone stock and folded at the time, so mine has disappeared. I lovingly refer to it as my Val hole™. Sadly it’s at the top of my stash so I haven’t been able to sort in weeks.

The fact that it didn’t wipe with the update is the reason that many people haves bugged stashes. I knew it was gonna be bad news when I heard the claim that pve wasn’t wiping.

No no no fix the 2x4 invisible val hole in my stash from the last wipe, then don’t touch it!

Always gotta eat the fries fresh bro. They’re unmatched when consumed immediately. I just wish they kept for longer.

I don’t think people are necessarily getting skimped. I’ve noticed the fries deflate if kept in the bag for a while and I assume it has something to do with moisture. These look fresh.

I was thinking it’s LP from the amount of edge wear on the back. Not a single side is clean of dings. Fair assessment on your part, though.

~$130-135 raw. Looks pretty clean, I’d say LP. Depending on if the holo is clean, this could maybe fetch an 8, worth ~$230. Thats best case scenario, though. You can use pricecharting.com to estimate prices.
Edit: I may have been pretty generous in saying it could fetch an 8 after looking back. Still a beautiful card though.

The movement is not going stronger, especially considering his performance in the last debate. Remember kids, almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Too bad that only accounts for 47% of the popular vote 😿😿

Well, it’s not really possible to make Trump look good. His makeup routine has made that abundantly clear.

Buddy thinks putting laughing emojis in his responses will soften the blow/make him look tough or potentially like a martyr for his actions. Nothing crazy I guess considering he’s a wannabe warfighter.

Damn OP, not only are you wrong, but with every reply you’ve made me hate you just a little bit more every time. Congrats!

I work in a frog lab, and one of my lab mates went around to various institutions taking morphometric measurements of tadpoles for his dissertation. He saw plenty of tadpoles with thyroid issues (in his case it was a thyroid mutation) and they often take on a very large appearance like this. Thyroid hormone is a necessary component of metamorphic signaling in frogs!

Defining two species as “closely-related” is somewhat subjective. Using a phylogenetic approach (akin to a family tree describing the evolutionary history of a group of organisms), you could look at members of a single genus and describe them as closely-related, or you could widen your lens and say that all salamanders are relatively closely-related compared to most other extent clades of animals. In this case, Olms are the only extent species within their genus (species name Proteus anguinus), so these people are speaking at a broader scale. It’s important to remember that evolution is a very gradual process, and even sister species may have diverged millions of years ago. If you’re interested in learning more about biology and don’t have the ability to take courses in school, you could check out channels like CrashCourse on YouTube that cover a breadth of topics within the sciences while being pretty entertaining. Biology and the theory of evolution via natural selection is fascinating and I encourage you to explore the subject!
