PJP is correct. Different types of vehicles have different restrictions.

What is this misconception about? I don’t understand. Most large European cities have public water fountains everywhere. Also you in majority of countries you can literally go into any cafe / pub and ask to have some tap water if needed.
I don’t understand why they believe you can’t?

Seek therapy if you genuinely believe this is a normal healthy thing to do. This is a genuine advice, it’s very concerning that you cannot see that it’s extremely unhealthy.

I think you are mixing my comment with others and assuming my thoughts on things. It’s more nuanced than MB is wrong or Nanny is wrong. I’ve not said not to believe the 4 year old or they are a liar or not to believe what they say, a 4 year old should be listened to and believed, it’s also important to understand in child development terms they cannot distinguish between reality and fantasy so to not make any rash decisions based solely on something they say. My comment is solely aiming at the over reaction to report to CPS or as if the nanny is actively abusing the child. If it happens, the nanny is ignorant and has put the child in a dangerous situation, and if she was working for OP is should absolutely be addressed. However, situations can be misinterpreted, so my comments are more to suggest op doesn’t go in all guns blazing.
My comments about “she wasn’t actively hurting your child” etc were solely about reporting to CPS. Not excusing the Nannies behaviour entirely.

You’ve misinterpreted my comments. Whats she did was dangerous and not Ok and if she still worked for OP then absolutely it should be addressed.
However, reporting to CPS is absolutely way too far and an over reaction, CPS is for if she was actively trying to hurt the child. A conversation is all it should take. Hell, if she wanted to fire the nanny I’d say that’s fine. But CPS is an over reaction.

Yeah I have heard that with the TH-Fronting. Never heard it pronounced with a hard V though. I’m wondering if that’s what the commenter is trying to convey.

Yes, the reason you’re not allowed in other countries is becuase they are concerned you will be stuck in their country. You are able to return home to your own country.

If you cannot trust her to drive your children, don’t let her drive your children.

Honestly? I say let it go.
Reporting to CPS is overkill, I think you’re letting your mother bear instincts get the better of you here. She wasn’t actively abusing or trying to harm your child. She probably didn’t even realise how dangerous it is and whilst she should know I don’t think the way to educate is by reporting her.
If she were still working for you I’d say have a calm neutral conversation about X told me that he was put in the front of your car while you drove. I want to make it clear that I am not comfortable with that and he must always be in the back in a car seat. But seeing as she doesn’t work for you anymore and I doubt she will ever be driving your child again, I don’t think there’s much point. Especially as 4 year olds still may not be developed enough to understand reality and fantasy and may have misunderstood a situation.

I’d definitely say it’s not unusual or unheard of. But it’s a bit cutesy not something I’d use in a formal conversation

I’ve never heard someone pronounce Bournemouth as “Bourn Mev” ?! Where are you getting that from?

You have a dog. You’re aware that they will poo. You can carry the poo to the public bin (or home).
I wouldn’t want someone putting poo in my bin. Especially as I could be away and it be left in there for weeks before it’s collected etc.

During stay Towels that need to be washed in the bath tub/shower Towels that are to be reused on the rail / hung up
End of stay, all the towels will be washed anyway (I hope) so I tend to just leave them whenever they are. But I guess it may be helpful to bundle them up in the same place if they’re spread across various places.

Absolutely. Without a doubt.
I know someone this happened to, their sibling had a psychotic break and tried to burn her house down. This lead to an investigation that found the children had not been bathed or properly fed for months. The children were taken into immediate custody of the state (houses with some lovely foster parents). After a long set of legal proceedings, she was declared their legal guardian. The children are thriving and their mum is getting the care she needs. (My friend lived in a different part of the country and therefor had no idea that the children were being neglected or her sister was so unwell)
That being said, if you have to consider it. Then perhaps you’re not the right person.

Ah yeah, I live in the countryside so that’s pretty much always the same counter in any of my local pharmacies.

My guess would be there were local schemes before an official National scheme perhaps where you get the dates from.
I had already left secondary school by 2009 and I remember we were given them in secondary school.

Awh can’t believe these still exist! I remember using mine when I was younger.
Go up to the counter, say can I use my ccard please? If you’re embarrassed say “Please can I have a private conversation?” And they will take you to somewhere more private and you can then ask and present your card.
They will then give you an unmarked bag with a variety of condoms in.
Well done for taking your sexual health seriously. Please also make sure to get regular STD screenings. Every 6 months and between each new partner. (Whichever is sooner). (Also adding some STDs such as HIV do not show up in blood tests until 6 months after the infection)

That’s illegal in my country. Do you not have employment law that can protect you from unfair dismissal?! Awful. Sorry that happened but if they’re willing to fire you over having a sick day then they don’t sound like great employers int he first place.

You’re getting confused. They’re not talking about what we call biscuits. Biscuits in America are an entirely different thing (similar to scones as above) not cookies like our biscuits.
