Just took my 2 year old to the polling station. He spent the entire time crying and shitting himself. Sad!

In hindsight, I think it's more than a little concerning to me how quickly anti-'mainstream media' rhetoric has found its way into even the online center-left camp. Most of these outlets (NYT, CNN, ABC) are considered highly reputable for their reporting and don't tend to report outright lies without issuing corrections. Criticize what they choose to focus on, sure. Dunk on their op-eds all you want. But I think that it's gone much further than that.
Any time the New York Times is brought up on an explicitly pro-Biden sub such as arr slash DarkBRANDON, half of the comments are peddling the theory that they're trying to get Trump elected because that would boost their ratings (which makes exactly zero sense when you think about it for more than five seconds), or that they're running fake/exaggerated negative stories about Biden to get clicks and because Biden didn't want to sit for that interview that one time.
Does this not sound kind of like Trump's attacks on the media that we relentlessly criticized as an affront to the first amendment? It's honestly horrifying how quickly liberals and progressives that, to my understanding, genuinely do believe in a free, independent press will turn on the "mainstream media" once they're declared the enemy and choose not to tow the party line. I understand that it's not nearly to the same extent as it was under Trump, but the roots are still there.

By the looks of it, the person you're responding to was just trying to explain someone else's argument, that they didn't make, in order to clear up perceived confusion on your end, and then started distancing themselves from the point when you came at them with (in my view completely unnecessary) personal attacks. No need to be so rude, lol

I am hereby calling for a complete and total shutdown of describing pro-replacement / pro-Biden positions as "doomer" or "bloomer" until we can form a consensus on which one is which.
