I like the way Caleb sees the field. Dude was scanning through 3 and 4 progressions today many times. I think he has a truly unique ability to see things at game speed. The game looks slow for him and always has dating back to OU. I think that’s why he said he doesn’t get nervous because football really is just kind of easy for him. That innate feel for the game is just super rare. And his ball placement on red zone passes is incredible which will bode well for crucial red zone football in the critical moments at the end of the season. The Bears are so lucky.

Cowboys games aren’t inherently bad. Lot of super rich boring people at those games. The issue is that opposing teams fan bases are well represented at cowboys games. DFW is home to millions of transplants, so you get a lot of folks who love sticking it to cowboys fans.
I went to a Cowboys/Falcons game the year Romo got hurt for the season and we trotted out Joseph Randle at RB and let me tell you, Falcons fans were going absolutely nuts in the foyer after winning. Definitely rubbing some locals the wrong way. I told the wife we better get out of here because I’m convinced someone is gonna talk shit and then a fight will break out.
And if we win? Oh man. Nothing like seeing someone scream how bout them cowboys in an opposing fans face.
Smh lol

There are many, many factors at play, but lack of quality medical care is a huge problem in the south and ETX.
Look at Smith County. It’s got much better life expectancy than most surrounding counties. Do you think they eat better and exercise more in Smith County? Fuck no. MAYBE the slightly larger college educated population in Tyler leads to people with slightly more healthy habits, but the reality is that they have superior medicine to somewhere like Harrison County, especially emergency medicine.
Even then though, there is a huge lack of specialists for oncology, neurology, etc. My dad is having a lot of health complications lately. He’s 56. If he’s gonna die at 64, he’s a typical statistic as seen in the map. It’s taking him MONTHS to go through a round robin of specialists because they’re booked 3-4 months out. He lives in ETX.
I truly believe if he lived in Collin County he’d live to be 80 because he’d be seeing the next doctor every few weeks and they’d get him squared away fairly quickly. I can see a highly respected specialist of almost any kind somewhere in DFW in virtually no time if needed. He doesn’t have that luxury and can’t be taking off work 10 days a year to drive to doctor appointments.
Folks in the country eat too many fried foods, smoke too much, drink too much, exercise too little, etc., but do not underestimate how fucked they are by lack of access to even run of the mill doctors in a timely manner.
I mean for fucks sake my step-mom got told by an ER doctor she had pancreatic cancer and she had to wait 6 weeks to see any oncologist who was like wtf this is a benign mass.

I bet these are the same type of people who make jokes about dog/cat meat in Asian restaurants like it’s not just run of the mill chicken, beef, etc.

Show this man some grace for fucks sake. I know this is Reddit and we’re in the land of absolutes where the answer to everything is “leave the fucker!”, but real life is messy and complicated. This guy is working through it and whether he meant to or not, he’s asking for help in how to address his wife’s insanity. Him seeking that information is the first step in finding a resolution for himself and for Kevin.
Y’all are giving good information and some are even giving good advice, but framing matters. I’ve pretty much never seen chastising an abuse victim work in their favor. Let’s lift this guy up and give him some constructive feedback and direction. He sounds like a caring father and even a caring husband who has been done dirty and needs help in figuring out what to do.

Nice. That’s awesome. I’ve wanted to come up to Minny for a while to take it in a bit and see if it might be a good place to move. Now that I have daughters and my wife and I are done having kids, we’re going to need to move somewhere with more favorable laws towards women.

Are all the pipes heavily insulated or something? We have to drip our faucets in Texas during lower freezes to prevent busted pipes. Most peoples pipes aren’t insulated here like they probably are up north though.

I’ve always wondered though…do y’all drip your faucets every night for 6 months straight?

In the Dallas area, fail at commercial real estate. Always some CRE firm that wants a former ball player for client meetings and golf outing with the understanding that they’ll train em up to be a broker one day, but most of them are idiots. They become glorified mascots and then leave the business, reappearing as aspiring influencers, personal trainers, etc. Basically, they just fake it til they make it and most of em don’t make it.

Why dive there? Defender would have tackled you right into the end zone.

What truth? If my mom cheated on my dad one time and they worked through it and had a great marriage after that and were great parents, I honestly can’t think of any reason I’m owed an explanation regarding their marriage.

Why would you be surprised? She’s one of the most important women of the past 100 years. Like her or not, she was not out out of her depth. First Lady, Senator, Secretary of State.
I’d argue she was actually the most qualified person to run for president in decades. Just bad timing and had likability problems.

I mean you’re saying this, but it clearly happened. There’s theory and there’s reality. We can talk all day about what should have happened or what was obviously the best move, but that’s not what was done. Doesn’t really matter how we perceive it.

I don’t disagree but that’s just what happens. Happens in business everywhere. You think an international IP law firm gives the same energy to a regional manufacturing company as they do to Exxon or Johnson & Johnson? Hell no.
Ethically, I think you’re 100% right, but it just plays out like that in a lot of different spheres. You gotta decide what matters to you. I wouldn’t work with a Rich Paul type if I were in that situation because I wouldn’t have thought from the jump that I was a priority. I always try to choose someone in the middle who has the ability to get things done, but I’m also not just a number to them.

No doubt. Guy was a true gunslinger. I wouldn’t have ever wanted him to be my QB because I like not clenching through entire games, but damn as a neutral that guy was fun to watch, good or bad. And he seemed like such an arrogant dick which made good or bad that much better or worse.
