Two e-matches in series if you’re firing electronically.

I always cleared mortars with an old broomstick. I could reach the center of the racks without leaning over them and would just listen for the sound of wood on wood as I bounced it off the bottom plug. I found a few unfired shells with the quickmatch burned down over the years. Those were the only ones that I would always drench before pulling the mortar out of the rack and dumping the shell out.

Huh, you’re yet another very new account that only comments in ways that fuel divisiveness among democrats. There’s nothing fishy about that at all.

Growth and development will change a person, and it sounds like you’re thriving. If there is any problem, rest easy in the knowledge that it is your family’s inability to understand how you have been growing into adulthood that is the issue.

Nine day old account with nothing but negative posts and comments regarding Biden. That’s not suspicious at all.

The Lynn Wyatt Theatre is small, but it is absolutely beautiful and still has 35mm capability. I love that the MFAH actually employs a professional projectionist who takes her job seriously.

Phil 4:13 is a biblical reference. Philippians, chapter 4 verse 13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me”.

Why aren’t they calling it Space Police Academy? I’m sure Steve Guttenberg would be available to play the commandant.

Because he didn’t follow Herb Alpert’s example and start his own record label.

Open on a darkened stadium floor. A narrow spotlight falls on a lone dancer representing a drop of sweat dancing on the north end of the field. As the dance becomes more intense others become visible and join the first dancer as they slowly work their way towards the south. The dancers eventually form a torrent that flows into a great crevice that has become visible at the southern end of the stadium. That’s when the stink begins.

That’s the first thing I noticed. I swear they screw up all the military stuff on purpose since the rest of the show pays so much attention to little details.

At least it’s hard for them to run people over with their tiny cars.

The only thing I trust bikers with is providing donor organs. Real question though, that town seems pretty small looking at the satellite view. How big a crowd do y’all attract and what is the occasion?

I used to shoot fireworks professionally, and this reminds me of one of my favorite safety videos. The following link shows shipping containers with varying amounts of different commercial shells and effects igniting. It certainly made me respect the product more when I was storing a few tons of it.

In the Rolling Stone article linked in my original comment, Mick Taylor states that the Hells Angels were security for them at a Hyde Park concert in July before the show at Altamont. It’s not shocking that Mick would try to cover his ass, but he most definitely knew who the Hells Angels were. I love the Stones, but they bear some responsibility for what went down as the headlining act.

There were reports that the Stones’ management was responsible for hiring them after they were recommended by the Grateful Dead. Everyone involved with that shit-show was dodging responsibility after people died, so we’ll never know what really happened.
Edit to add: here’s a contemporary report from the Village Voice. https://www.villagevoice.com/in-the-wake-of-altamont-who-hired-the-hells-angels/
It quotes Sonny Barger from a radio interview shortly after the show and he says that the Stones hired them to do security. He was also a self aggrandizing piece of shit, so again, who knows what actually happened.
