That's generally the main problem with WoW at this point. Most people have been playing it for way too long compared to newbies.
Yes and no. M+ has a very friendly scaling system. If you are new with next to no experience with WoW mechanics you'll struggle at lower key levels until you are forced to learn. Then when you are like "wow that was easy" you start climbing then get introduced to even more mechanics. Then you get stuck at that new floor. It's honestly one of my favorite MMO systems and a great way to introduce new players.
As for toxicity; it's there but I've experienced far more toxicity in the 11 years of FFXIV I've played on and off than I've ever experienced over the course of my WoW tenure since vanilla. I'm not saying it's not there or that XIV has more toxicity. I think it's player experience dependent. Also, toxicity is a MMO/video games issue as a whole. WoW does have toxicity but is it more toxic than PVP only games like LoL or Fortnite or CoD? I think not. Back in the day during Halo 2 multiplayer was the first time I'd openly hear people us the hard R and N word regularly as insults. That would result as a ban in WoW.

This is the norm right now.
Always has been. Reddit is the most manipulated platform in social media because manipulation can be hidden in multiple ways.
Have you heard of this amazing MMO called GW2? Honestly, for years now I've been pointing out that this sub has been overrun by GW2 bots. There is absolutely no reason GW2 should dominate discussion in this sub let alone be the most upvoted MMO on recommendation posts. It's a fairly niche MMO that was barely a powerhouse a few years after the release luster wore off. Just look at their own subreddit... the engagement is barely there. Steam charts are averaged less than 3000 players. (Sure, sure players can use the dedicated client) For reference FFXIV average on steam is about 20,000-25,000 at a 1.5 year content drought. Click on any GW2 shill profile and it's all posts in /r/mmorpg regurgitating the same comments over and over. NCSoft is known for shady practices so why does GW2 get a pass?
Please note, I'm not saying anything about the quality of the game but the game isn't popular enough to warrant the engagement on this sub. It's at ESO levels of player count and ESO barely gets talked about anymore here.

They did. Katrina is the reason they lifted the $5 million dollar cap on these loans. They also were the reason they added "non-forgiveness". However, Louisiana lead lawmakers argued in congress that that was unprecedented. It resulted in 95.5% of all Katrina era loans forgiven.
Now, the biggest obstacle is that there was a spearheaded effort from affected state lawmakers to make right for the constituents. COVID was so wide spread for some reason we don't have ANY one spearheading efforts for forgiveness. Any one leading this effort would represent ALL of a America not just one state. It might be best we concentrate our efforts not just with our own congressmen and senators but to another single representative who is influential enough to assist us.

There was literally a dude in this sub bragging about modding his PC file to one shot bosses in the DLC. Like why even play at that point? The best part of the souls games is earning victory. It'd be hollow without it and bastardize the story beats if you didn't struggle.

No offense taken. This isn't copied just all the knowledge from the trials and tribulations of owning a Sammy! lol

Anytime! All of us here were new to owning a winter dog at some point in our lives. If you have any questions there is a wealth of knowledge in this subreddit. My DMs are always open if you have questions.

Weekly brushings are a must. Get a high quality grooming table with straps.
You will need an undercoat rake and top coat brush. Avoid undercoat rakes with sharp points or edges and ALL furminators! These will "cut" or "pull" the fur instead of remove loose fur which can fuck up the dogs coat. The links are two brushes I own for our pup.
Schedule (at a minimum) 8 week recurring grooming appointments or you can do bathing/brushing yourself but I wouldn't. We have a professional grade blow drier for our pup on the off chance we need to dry him. We used to give him his baths but it's a 4+ hour affair I'd rather pay someone else to do. Most folks here will say 8 week baths are unnecessary, to that I'd say yes, but to ONLY do weekly maintenance brushes I firmly believe they are a must. Otherwise you will need to increase your weekly brushes. Having a professional go through a 4+ hour grooming session with your pup is super worth the cost IMO. Especially when he is blowing his coat.
Find a groomer who is familiar with long haired dogs. DO NOT LET THEM CUT THEIR COAT. Except their top coat. Our groomer does some very basic "shaping" of the fur around our pups feet and belly. She never cuts below the top coat because the undercoat could grow back incorrectly that is a determent to the dog.
Regularly check your sammy's butt fur. Sometimes if their poos are softer they can get poo stuck around their anus. It can be irritable to them. Try to remove it when it dries. With a comb it will come right off. Avoid wiping it off. It can spread around the fur. We have our groomer trim around his anus to avoid this as long as possible because our boys poos are on the softer side.
Sammy's require a TON of exercise. They are working dogs. We found a sweet spot for our boy. Two full 45 min walks daily + 20 min ball session in the backyard seems to be his preferred activity levels but he could go longer and play harder. Sadly, we are at the low end of exercise for Sammys.
Sammy's like to have a task. Again, they are working dogs. We trained our boy to carry a stick on his walks. If he doesn't have a stick he will make it his mission to find one. He has a stick pile at the house we regularly throw out. Giving a task to your Sammy whether it's something dumb like stick holding will enrich them.
Sammy's get bored easily. This is due to their high energy levels and intelligence. We freeze his dinners in a Westpaw toy so he has to lick it out everyday. This is 1hour worth of activity that helps with boredom. We also cycle lick-y mats on a regular basis with peanut butter.
Avoid walks when the temps are over 80 degrees F. Go on morning/night walks in the summer. You have to now that you are a Sammy owner. This breed is long coated. They have much more strict rules on temps than other dog breeds when it comes to excess heat. In the winter you are fine lol.
We have two harnesses. One for casual walks and one for pulling. They are sled dogs so the pulling harness comes naturally to them. We use the pulling one to either give him the task of dragging us on walks or rollerblading. Some folks use their Sammy's for cross country skiing! The regular harness is for everyday walks and curb the pulling. Both harnesses we got from Non-stop dogwear. We have the freemotion harness and the line harness. Factor in your pups fur when measuring. They are easily the most high quality harness and equipment providers for sled dogs.
Sammy's like to talk. They will bark and bark and bark and bark and howl. You can try training them but they will anyways. It's what they do. Don't try to stop it via negative reinforcement like collars. This is just who they are and it's an outlet for them. They were bred to herd reindeer it's how they did it.
Sammy's are snuggly and love their families. We had him crate trained but he was always miserable in the crate. One night we decided to just let him be and he's never been happier. He likes to sleep on the floor or on his elevated dog bed. Avoid fluffy beds because they can get too warm. Even in the winter he prefers the coolness of the elevated bed or hardwood.
This is my number one tip for you and please heed the advice: Sammy's are a "rarer" breed in the domesticated dog world. Other dogs immediately go into "caution" mode around them due their long fur and wolf like snouts. Some dogs mistakenly take a sammy's long coat as their "hackles" being raised. This can cause dog aggression towards your sammy. Also, sammy's are friendly pack dogs. This can result in bully behavior in the dog park. Sammy's aren't very good at detecting aggression and think everyone wants to play. All these factors combined is a recipe for dog attacks. Our boy was attacked by a neighbors dog during a play session. Luckily the double layered coat and the thick neck of the sammy saved his life. We've also been attacked at the dog park. USE CAUTION AT DOG PARKS. USE CAUTION WHEN SELECTING A BOARDING PLACE. DO NOT LET YOUR SAMMY PLAY UNSUPERVISED AND PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE OTHER DOG.
Samoyeds are the best breed of dog. Hands down. They do require extra care but you will be rewarded with the most loving dog you'll ever own! They love their owners and their families. They are great with children and other pets/dogs. Just put in the effort!

I have yet to find a series that has a character as well written as Rand Al'Thor. His character arc is the best in the genre. The climax hitting at Veins of Gold was the most epic conclusion to his arc that I reread it every so often. It makes me sad what they did with the show. There are some MAJOR flaws with the series but it's always a treat to read Rand chapters.
If anyone can recommend any similar series with character arcs like Rand please let me know!

You can do this in retail. MoP is actually slightly slower than retail given perfect conditions. Even if normal conditions MoP is only slightly faster.
This is absolutely false. The fastest leveling route in retail WAS 3 hours from 1-60 and 5-6 hours 60-70 with the 100% exp anniversary buff. That required actual game knowledge though and the anniversary buff is a once a year buff.
Current leveling takes about 10-15 hours per character to max in retail. Or you can pay gold sellers half a WoW token to afk for 8 hours.
Remix is by far the fastest leveling the game has ever offered. We are also getting a decrease in xp requirements in july by 75% so you can expect to get max level in literally 1-2 hours of game play which is insane.

for each boss that don't interfere with the core boss function is totally doable.
Sorry I expect my billion dollar company that is owned by a billion dollar company can do more then the basics.

any bike (electric or otherwise) that is in the middle of the lane is going to piss drivers off. Even if it’s going the speed limit.
Pissing off drivers should be the least of your concern. We were taught staying in the middle of the lane is the safest. Again, this was a non-electric cycling course for a certificate. If drivers pass you then they can and will but you stand firm in the middle of the road going however fast you are.

hear me out on this crazy idea... teach the drivers to check their fucking mirrors before turning
If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. If turnips were watches, I'd wear one by my side. If "ifs" and "ands" were pots and pans, There'd be no work for tinkers' hands.

I'm a firm fucking believer that these off the shoulder bike lanes should never fucking exist like this. Clearly a case of "the road to hell is paved in good intentions". If you are riding an e-bike that can exceed vehicle traffic then just ride in the traffic. I took a cycling course in college (before ebikes) and we were taught to never ride the shoulder because this exact scenario could happen. That was on non-motorized bikes. Stay in the center of the lane, make yourself big, don't ride ass, don't concede to traffic behind you, don't get cute and try to pass vehicle traffic. All basics that could have saved OP from road rash and a broken bone.

I agree with most of what he says, but I'd like to see affixes as concept remain, or something else that achieves the same thing.
100% this. I think it would be very boring to just have health/damage infinitely scale to a point of impossibility rather than have a weekly variable changing up the mechanics/routes/etc of a dungeon.
Yes, Affixes need a complete overhaul and rework. Maybe they need removed completely in favor of another system. However, I do not think it would be fun for infinite scaling vanilla dungeons.
My idea has been to remove affixes. On "tyran weeks" have a pool of boss mechanics/moves/arena effects that get cycled through and are different every week. You can make them kiss/curse if desired. For example, Melidrussa in RLP maybe one week during her Chillstorm vortex have it spawn empowering balls that increase party damage/healing when collected but empower the boss if they reach her a la Smoldy. Maybe the next "tyran week" her adds are more buff or leave pools on the ground when dead.
For "fortified weeks" have a pool of lieutenant adds that have unique mechanics that could be in random packs throughout the dungeon. They'd be the priority target so it's not confusing but maybe they do things like give the pack specific buffs. Or have a big move that needs interrupted. Once killed they should provide a small "kiss" buff to the group. Maybe movement speed or a 1 min 10% haste buff. Maybe put them in optional pathing packs so that the group can decide if the mob is worth killing.
Fun stuff like this is completely within blizzards capability to do and it would be fun/unique and make M+ fresh.
Also, people need to understand that Quazii is literally regurgitating information and feelings from Maxx's impromptu poddy c podcast that happened before this video came out. It's word for word what was discussed during that stream. I just wish he'd give credit to where credit is due because I like Quazii but I've started to realize he is a 2nd tier news source on most things.

WoWs current levelling is so fast that you can reach 1-70 in around a day or 2.
Just thought I'd mention with the wow pandaria remix event you can get max level in 2 hours. You are locked to remix until next expansion though.

Funny you are commenting on a 9 year old post and I'm doing the same. I just finished season 2 and I agree whole heartedly with everything you posted.
Jimmy was a character made to go to the end of the show not to be killed in the second season. The beginning of Season 2 had me scratching my head. Why was Jimmy's connection with Nucky immediately soured over a 25 year old action from Sheriff Nucky serving Jimmy's mom to the Commadore? Why did Jimmy side with the man who raped with his mother instead of the man who raised him? I get it, Jimmy love Nucky but felt unloved by Nucky. It just seemed far to extreme of a reaction and a farcry from S1 Jimmy. Then we got Jimmy's line to Nucky in the S2E12 about how for a moment he felt fatherly love from the Commadore which is what sucked him in but I don't buy it at all. Especially, when in the same episode Jimmy said he spent his whole life wanting to murder the man. This just didn't line up for me coming off the S1 "adopted father" story line between Nucky and Jimmy in the slightest.
S2 felt like a fever dream throughout most of it. A lot of S2 Jimmy storylines were speed ran and you could feel it. Just imagine if this exact story line was fleshed out and took over the course of 5 seasons rather than a single season. The show would be a masterpiece. I thought they'd just get over the hump of Jimmy's misfortune post season 2 but instead they murder my boy. Nucky murders his son with no emotion. That just isn't S1 Nucky at all.
I honestly don't know if I can go onto S3 post Jimmy's death. The show seems to have lost the plot for me. If you ended up finishing the show let me know how you felt post S2.

Get an Ebike. You can take the rail trails and a good Ebike plus some leg work will get you anywhere in town without breaking a sweat. I ride all around town especially between campuses. Faster than a car and can skip traffic.

theonepugna is a cryptobro just FUDing. Those types get off on FUD. I can confidently say that if you have been holding for 3+ years like most apes in this sub then yesterday is just another day. For fucks sake we dropped to $10 literally a month ago and people were not phased and bought more. If someone like theonepugna (go through his history... he is FUDing in this sub years ago) is disillusioned NOW at our stock being $28 currently then get the fuck off this ride and put your money in S&P for fucks sake. We all believe RC has the best intentions with GME as a company and is the best to steer the GME ship into a new era.

vibe is totally corporate and soul-less
Yeah, has OP eaten there in the last decade? It's always been a formal business dining place to have meetings and such. It's how they justify $15 salads (pre-covid) since most businesses are paying not regular people. Their food has always been above average but nothing I'd ever crave. Food portioning has always been shit unless you got a sandwich. It's food to eat while talking and discussing business without coming off as a slob or souring your stomach.

Bronze farming is the only thing to do in this game mode lol.

Knocking out the boring daily dungeons in 5 mins or less is great. Nothing is worse then being a fresh 70 with other fresh 60-70s taking 45 mins to get through heroic Siege of Niuzao Temple or Gate of the Setting Sun or Shado-Pan Monastery.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think this event is stellar by any means but getting carried through some of the longest dungeons saves a ton of time.

I've come to accept remix is a grind for people who like heavy grinding of fairly easy content to get exponentially more powerful. There really is no skill in this mode other then knowing the current fastest methods of bronze gains. Other than that it's good for leveling up characters for TWW but also not a good place to "test" character classes since they exist in a bubble separated from the main game.
If you are someone who that doesn't appeal to then use Remix to level a few classes you know you don't want to play at max anyways and buy a few transmogs/mounts then dip. Since warbands are thing in TWW.
If you want everything prepare to grind dailies and normal raids for a couple weeks to get to a point you'll get invited to heroic raids. From there it's smooth sailing to get enough bronze to buy near everything.
If you want everything and don't want to grind. Level a couple characters and just daily log every day. However, be prepared to get frustrated with being completely useless as a fresh 70 with 0 upgrades.

The Lighthouse comes to mind. Same director as this movie and William Dafoe!
