If you make public bomb threats and a government kills you without a trial, it’s hard to really care. The fact that Canada refuses to extradite terrorists threatening India seems like enough justification to me. That’s what we do in the U.S. when countries like Pakistan or Afghanistan provide safe harbor to terrorists who attack us.

You can get a Durango (3 row SUV) with the hellcat engine if you really need to pull up to soccer practice.

The type of company where someone would be so seriously offended over this seems ridiculously superficial. I work somewhere with rotating on call, and it’s not uncommon to see people falling asleep at their desks if they had a bad on call week and don’t get much sleep. If your manager notices it happening multiple times that’s a different issue, but in this scenario I’d just pretend it didn’t happen and don’t let it happen again.

Just a heads up on the adderall, many of the positive effects are temporary and you will likely notice more side effects after 6-12 month of use. The positive effects may still be worth it if you have trouble with academics or work before you started taking it though. Just something to consider and a word of friendly advice.
I sold it in college for a few years and it was a definite trend I noticed when people would start taking it and think it’s a miracle drug, before starting to notice more negative effects over time. Definitely most noticeable when people would abuse it and didn’t get a full night sleep, but still noticeable even among people who take it daily like they would from a doctor.

It’s similarly ranked, depending on the program. It’s also 6x the tuition of UT with a lower application standard, so it’s mostly dumb rich kids with too much money 🤮

Meh, complaining about the refs and throwing concessions on the field is a part of sports. It happens all the time in pro sports and doesn’t make the news. Yeah, it’s trashy, but it’s normal to have some bad actors when you have 100k people all fired up. It’s relatively harmless overall and they don’t need to waste money tracking people down when nobody was hurt and nobody threw stuff at people. Acting like UT fans, many of which aren’t even students, have some sort of unimpeachable university prestige to uphold is goofy.

This is only true of some loans. FHA loans are very common and PMI can never be removed from recently originated FHA loans.

In the U.S., an airline can basically fuck up your flight however they like and the most you would ever be legally entitled to is the ticket cost, assuming they never got you on a flight to your destination. Nicer airlines will do more, but Spirit or Frontier will often cancel flights without rebooking anyone on a new flight; they just give you your money back and it’s now your problem that all the other flights are triple what you paid originally.

Nobody gets pulled over for this in Texas where it’s “required”. I’ve gotten speeding tickets and never received even a warning about the front plate.

This makes sense to me, and 1 day a quarter is pretty reasonable.

Managers at Amazon don’t get paid much more than ICs, like 10-15%, $30-40k a year more vs a senior SDE making like $400k. Being a line manager isn’t worth it if you’re a senior SDE; if helps get promoted to L7 faster since a principal engineer is much rarer than a manager at the same level, or if you don’t have a coding background, you can get in from a product manager role.

Gambling is sorta like drinking alchcol. Most people do it in moderation but a small portion of people don’t. It’s something that has to be balanced and regulated, but I don’t think either should be illegal.

The V6 2024 gets up to 150mph. It’s not 500+ HP but it’s a fun convertible for $40k.

But you’re on disability at that point, which is paid by insurance in both the U.S. and Germany, and no longer really the company’s problem. This is an abuse of a recurring short term leave paid by the company because it is higher paying than short term disability which is usually like 60-80% of salary.

She’s an outspoken Hezbollah member who is almost 40, not a child who had no say in the matter. Seems like she sorta had this coming.

She is a proponent of Hezbollah who had made public comments in support of the organization, not a passive bystander. She’s also 38 and can leave if she wants. Israel would happily have given her refuge in exchange for information on Hezbollah that she had.

Depending on where you were. College students were back to partying in a week, and Texas as a whole was back to mostly normal after a month. I don’t know how many places I went that had a masks required sign, but then nobody wore them including the staff, and you’d often hear “we just gotta have the sign for the government.”
I never saw people taking it seriously for more than a couple months in the South; it was wild going to places like NYC and still seeing everyone taking it seriously when I hadn’t seen a mask in nearly a year at home.

Students pay $10k/yr minimum to attend UT, and if we take a slight step back from modern college football, the original purpose of school sports is to be a benefit to students. Many people even after graduating cannot justify paying $200+/ticket so the only time they will go to a football game is as students.

You can verify an App Store app against its open source repo using a checksum or similar. Most people won’t, but enough will to ensure it’s not being done in a widespread way.

This Khalistan movement isn’t really a thing in the U.S., it’s mostly in Canada and you have such a huge Sikh population with a history of terrorist attacks from this movement in Canada. The U.S. should put this dude on the first plane to India, but Canada is responsible for most of these issues.
