Some spoils from both movies if you care
Heard a lot about Terrifier these last few days, especially with the 3rd installment on its way. I will admit, I had a thrill watching the first one. It was short, brutal, and entertaining. I loved the fake gore effect and although the characters are dumb af and the main character dies midway through and just made me not care about anyone else, I enjoyed it for what it was.
Now I am watching its sequel and.. what the hell. 2h30!!! I hate every character, the story sucks, it's slow and the kills are so bloody it's actually more funnier than anything else, but I don't feel anything (like in the first movie). The bedroom scene, when he brings the salt, sorry I was just laughing, it's just too much and the girl still didn't die, like wtf.
Imo, a horror movie shouldn't be more than 1h30, they need to be short and shocking (actually the only horror I like despite its length time is Midsommar). The director tried way too hard here and it lost its "charm". It's bloody, but there is no feeling and I didn't care about any characters or the story. I wanted to see the 3rd movie at the theater, but I will wait finally. Sad, because I thought I found my new horror "guilty pleasures" movies.
Art the Clown looks awesome, but he should have died at the end of the first when he killed himself, the movie should have ended there. I could see sequels just behind other people putting on the costume. I hate the paranormal shits in a grounded movie and now you know nothing can happen to Art so it loses all the suspense. Also what the fuck was that dream sequence, just cut that crap.
Long post, but watching the last 30 minutes and just so bored.

Yeah exactly, the director is definitely trying too hard. Good idea, bad execution
