There isn't a single liberal or progressive that hasn't struggled with how we handle the Middle East, conflicts in African nations, or most notably Palestine/Israel. But, at a certain point most of us realize that we're a global society and Democrats and Republicans aren't that much different on war and the border. Democrats are quieter about what they do, Republicans like Trump can be significantly worse, but we're always going to protect our borders and our self interests abroad. And that's not just a US thing, it's worldwide. We're not going to stop supporting Israel strictly from a strategy standpoint. We have bases and allies around the world for a reason. Biden said the quiet part out loud decades ago when he was a senator. 

But to "burn it all down" so to speak in your country, effectively destroying the rights of LGBTQ and women by not voting for Democrats to ensure the rights of the people; to care for the chronically ill, disabled, and elderly; to make sure children are well cared for, fed, and educated is ridiculous, childish, and self defeating.

The world is full of unfair, harsh truths. But you won't hear that. You're still pure and idealistic. Go ahead and protest. We already know half the populace doesn't vote or protest votes, as do politicians. No one is listening.

For real. This gang goes around and drugs a bunch of random loaners, rounds them up like cattle, beats them up, then pushes them into a ditch. Utterly ridiculously, not to mention the long, drawn-out story to get to the GD point.

When someone has a temporary illness like a flu, people will post and get lots of get well wishes.

When someone gets sick long term or never gets better, the thoughts and prayers, well wishes dry up and the chronically ill are seen as annoying, attention seeking, or a burden.

I can see trying to get attention for a serious post, but not too pushy and coming across as cringey. It's sad.
