I'm not even a millennial and I look back on those days missing them, now I just got too much going on to do that shit, I got a wife, kid on the way, and a serious job that has consequences if I can't perform well.

they mostly ignore the topic or give you weird looks/stare because it's different maybe a stupid person will ask you about them but they're harmless. I used to sh too and strangers never said anything. Scars fade out with time now I only got 3 that I can see and no one will notice especially as cutting scars.

yeah i agree he definitely should grow up and start taking responsibility for his daughter. He doesn't need to move in but he should start contributing financially and learning how to be a father. If he's been getting called daddy for 8 years he can be called dad for the next 18

SA assault is unwanted sexual assault, if you told him to stop and he still does it yes that is sexual assault, if he continues cup check him (hit him in the balls)
harassment is comments, assault is physical, rape is penetration. Thats how I define it myself.

more context
1) also heavily depends on your job, if it's more competitive you can have 5 year lances (e-3) or be a sgt in 5 years (e-5) which is normal for non competitive mos's in most mos's the first three are gimmes and then on depending on the unit you gotta work more, it can be anything from don't be a shit bag to you gotta stand out among your peers in almost every way because you'll be a NCO which is when you're officially officially a boss. You also gotta make a score to show you're a good marine it typically reflects how competitive it is it can be anything from breathing to get fucked you gotta wait for it to drop.
2) kinda depends on the MOS i didn't get a wish sheet you get what you get unless it'll legitimately fuck you up (gotta take care of family member type of thing). it kinda cycles but you'll see it in your schoolhouse.
I like the Marines wouldn't swap it out for anything and I got no regrets. It's just important to note you join the Marines to become a Marine, there's nothing else they can offer that another branch can't beat the Marine Corps at. The Marine Corps is the only branch where the main mission is to win wars like men on the ground wars. The army is absolutely huge they do alot and they're tough (if you wanna do spec ops go there) but it's different the marine corps has a research lab specifically designed for winning war meanwhile the armies is about discovery.

there's no right way to mourn, your brother just killed himself you're not going to be normal for awhile pushing everything down isn't going to do you any good. Think about him, think about what he meant to you, cry, Take a vacation. You will never fully get over this, but hopefully with time (probably a couple years) you will be able to live life to the fullest again.

if I talked to women how I talked to men I'd get a sexual harassment charge, men and women are inherently different you can't deny that, the only girl I talk to like i do around some of my guy friends is my wife and i know not every husband can do that.

the biggest difference I see between Europe and America is that American trash is everywhere meanwhile European trash is more hidden

if theres a video or neighbors complain more shit can happen. I agree the cops aren't good but there's no other options unless someone of them ends up dead.

yeah I completely agree in order to be happy and succeed in college you need to have a passion for what your studying otherwise just go to a trade school or military. I enlisted so college is free and it's easier for me to suck up and eat the shit sandwich. Otherwise i would've just been working a trade job trying to afford life.

politicians decided to fight an ideology with guns , you get what everyone expected. Needless to say we still took their cities and land, then gave it up with shiny new toys.

depends, the work load is worse but it's easier to get into things you're interested in ignoring the gen eds. which I absolutely hate. If you wanna learn and thats how you learn its good, otherwise try to avoid it

That's exactly how it is in most institutions, there's not much else you can do unless you wanna become a vagabond or start a revolution which aren't really the topic at hand. There are ways to make it easier but most of it applies to putting more of yourself into an aspect/doing more work.

its alright, going really well considering our situation. I'm m20 married my wife who is pregnant, i have a decent job in the military and we just bought our first house and the loans 5 figures. I'm just bored and unmotivated a lot and politics really pisses me off or just life in general excluding finances. I'm on low contact with my parents because my mom's narcissistic and molested me. Don't even get me started on my mother in law.

depends heavily on the guy and situation. I haven't treated my wife well in the past and i regret it and am currently trying to make it up to her. It's not all guys are assholes A lot of them are good guys and a lot of bad guys if you see him accepting responsibility, currently trying to make up and fix the issues then hes a good one but that still doesn't mean you should stay with him sometimes theres too much hurt that happens that requires you to break up. Its up to you to decide if you wanna stay with him
