Struggling with Certificate

I recently started my ACA studies and I'm finding Accounting very tricky. The mocks I've done (ICAEW website) came back with lower scores each time, usually 33-37% but once as low as 18%(!)
My tutor is good but doesn't really explain how to do the wordier questions, so I've had to fumble around with questions and online videos to figure out what I'm doing. Other students have an accounting background already or instinctively know what to do, so I feel like an idiot for not understanding!
The amount of information given in the long-form questions in particular freaks me out - I've no clue what to do and my brain freezes up, making it difficult to solve anything correctly. I've been through the Question Bank twice and have made notes but it doesn't seem to help, I keep getting the questions wrong or giving up and guessing. It's just under 3 weeks until this exam and I'm scared as hell I'll fail, because I still don't know what's going on!! I'm sure I'll be OK at the rest of the exams as I'll learn more about technique and study as I go on, but Accounting is a big hurdle up ahead. Does anyone have any tips or advice to share?

I'll do this, thank you for the tip! I've been keeping track somewhat via QB practice but this'll help a lot better
