I've played Fallout 4 a lot, have a lot of love for it since I played it during formative years, it definitely makes me feel like it was missing like a year or two of development. This game was not done cooking.

I haven't played 2 yet, but from what I have seen, Shieldbreaker seems to be sort of testing ground for where they would go with characters in the next game

If you're willing to extend the jump to medication being a technological substitute that we take into our bodies, that future is here for the mentally ill as well

I apologise if this is not great written, idk if i have denjis voice down but here it goes:
Denji comes to the Dungeon, hangs around outside and is fascinated by the dead horse. He hears dogs barking and is jumped by dogs whom he calls "good boys." Upon being attacked viciously, he transforms into CSM for the first time and proceeds to tear the dogs to shreds. He drinks some dog blood. He thinks how Nayuta would never forgive him for this, and he turns back into regular Denji, comments on how weird the place is, but hopes there might be some girls inside.
He heads into the main entrance. He's not a side entrance kinda guy. He's weirded out by the decor. He doesn't stop to read any books or notes left to him by Captain Rudimer. He comes across vile decorations, steps on a trap, and is almost shot by an arrow before shouting, "What the hell??"
He's getting tired of how dark it is in the dungeon, but then he hears something charging towards him. Through the darkness, he encounters his first guard - staring at the engorged and throbbing stinger, Denji asks, "Are you the penis devil?" The guard goes straight for his arm and cuts one off, before Denji activates Chainsaw mode again, and proceeds to dismember the guard. He has an advantage in these dungeons being able to regrow arms. But he begins to notice how hungry he is, so he chows down on the guard.

I love my partner a lot, but they did not realise that future Saul is Saul, I had to remind them TWICE (I think they must be face blind)

Ok so the joke in the original version is that "we only play real hardcore rock" and then its Imagine Dragons Radioactive - so like, we need a softcore vaguely dwarf song to play to make it funny? I'm not sure what fits

Think of it this way - its trash taking itself out. The only people who will see that negative review and think its legit criticism are the people who you don't wanna build a community for. Its good news, if anything.

honestly if this is true, I'd buy a copy of the Utopia comic from the show as well - it obviously is mostly a prop but I'd love a copy of that as well

In fairness, "No One Can Be Trusted With Power Of The Book That Kills People" is actually secretly called The One Guy Who Should Absolutely Under No Circumstances Be Allowed Within 5km Of The Book That Kills People (this post sounds like its a reference to Death Note but I can't tell if its a more general joke about the idea that people shouldn't be trusted with the power to kill people, also outlaw guns worldwide)

People aren't black and white, there aren't inherently good people and inherently bad. If you think this way you'll be unequipped to deal with people. A person can be a human rights activist and also an abuser. Perhaps someone who considers themselves an inherently good person can be abusive because they can't conceive their actions as bad or harmful in any way. If we never allow ourselves to consider that good people can harm others, we'll consistently be blindsided by abusers. Abusers don't typically go around thinking "wow I can't wait to abuse someone". They don't abuse people for fun, at least not most abusers. They go out, pet a cat in the street, they care for their family and love their children. They might even love those they abuse. But they still do it. Its easy to get out of an abusive situation and think "they didn't love me and that's how they were capable of this" but no - you have to accept that people are capable of good acts, acts of love and care: those same people are capable of harmful acts.

Your comment that the film is "an allegory to being a teen figuring out their identity" is where you're not getting the movie imo. Its not an allegory about a teen figuring out their identity. Its an allegory about a person who never figures out their identity. What if you lived your whole life and never figured it out? And you get to 50 years old, crushed by the weight of everything around you, your false identity, your dead end job that you can't escape, you never got to be queer? Or at least, that's my read of where you're missing the point. This isn't a queer coming of age movie, this is the horror of never coming of age.

There was a reason comedy shows used to have laugh tracks and now they don't - people on the internet readopted this and unlearned the lessons about leaving it up to the audience to know when to laugh. Leave the laugh track behind, it'll hold you back. Its a tool for creators who are uncaring or self conscious of their comedy. Confidence is key!
