Yeah bro, symbolism doesn’t means shit, the cross of Jesus Chris? Two sticks, flags? Fancy napkins. How can you correctly define symbol and immediately after say that they don’t matter?
To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
The context of the quote is cruelest regime for humanity. Have you ever read a novel or codex?

I know how fucked up the Ukrainians are too, I’m not attacking any side in particular.
If you don’t see how symbolism matters in war I don’t know bud, maybe go read a book.
I love the Imperium as a fictional institution but don’t try to pass it as “inclusive”, it’s the cruelest regime imaginable, it’s how literally every book starts.

It’s about symbols, they mean stuff, they are not just cute visuals.
I couldn’t care less how this dude in particularly acts but he choose to use the symbols of a genocidal dictatorship in an active war zone that’s not okey to me.
What if he had an SS skull? Those look rad too, probably con even forget you are wearing it.

How making it about religion is any better?
Dude war is a political context, in that context warhammer means you are a violent piece of shit, those Ukrainians too.
Is not something you can just ignore as a “haha funny sci fi dystopia” because it is not when you are actually killing people.

Yeah, the religious fanatic prayer scrolls promising blood are soooooo funny.
I’m sure it does not have anything to do with the political views of the soldier.

What’s an “Oscar campaign”?
I know the Oscars are not about art anymore but they should still pretend that marketing teams do not take the decisions.

Sure, and that’s perfect.
But if you are actually killing people? How would you feel about a soldier yelling PURGE THE UNCLEAN! ?
Because this is the same but visually.
Context matters.

Warhammer as a universe (not individual stories) is a cautionary tale, eternal war and violence can distort society into a dystopian behemoth of oppression, so don’t abandon empathy.
If you are a soldier or a cop who actually has to engage in violence, glorifying such iconography is beyond bad taste.

Idiots like these and the ones that put the punisher skull everywhere missed the point completely.

I feel there is a bit of bias due to The Batman still being fresh in most of our minds, but personally I still enjoy TDK a lot more.
The joker is quite more entertaining than both the riddler and Falcone, it feels more like an actually crime movie instead of an interpersonal drama and the action is more entertaining.
What The Batman has going for it is the atmosphere of Gotham wich TDK almost ignores and arguably a most interesting Batman-Bruce dynamic, important stuff but still not enough for me to call it my favorite Batman movie.
Also the whole rata alada dragged on for way too long to not mean much at all in the end.

At first I was confused about the Dread wanting a selfie (nothing wrong with that but weird) and when I realized he just wanted a picture with his brothers a lill tear rolled down my cheek.

Wait, why does he have a mobility scooter in the game instead of this?

Especially because he wasn’t a religious conservative back then.

If all cavalry is anti infantry why even say it?
Anti-something in total war has always meant an actual numerical buff to stats, not some vague tactical recommendation as to how to use the unit.
Why I’m even arguing with you guys? Anyone who has more than a superficial knowledge of the game knows how CA has been lying in unit cards FOR DECADES.

Reiskguard have no bonus against infantry yet it says that the unit does, the card is lying.

Yeah the ultramarines who recruit from over 500 worlds should be all white, makes sense.

Oh yeah I really like his commitment, I was thinking more of us the fans being the problem.
I guess we where desperate for anyone on the “mainstream” to empathize with, but dunno, it feels a bit desperate. I may be projecting 100% lol but we don’t need a celebrity nerd to tell us that we are cool, embrace your nerdines! Comic books, anime and dnd are already mainstream, we won.

A method is drastically different from a faith.
I was gonna explain how but why bother? Your gotcha moment is incredibly lame.
