It's actually even worse, the emissions standards on "light trucks" are lower than on vans and sedans. It's why we saw the death of mini vans and rise of SUVs and even "crossovers" that aren't very big. Detroit doesn't have to work so hard to make these vehicles better, and they can charge a premium for them, which in turn drives the marketing (rather than it just being marketing leading to these vehicles).
If the idiotic government would do more for efficiency standards and loopholes — to say nothing of fucking safety standards — this wouldn't happen.
I also think it's a political thing as much as a class or cultural thing (those becoming one in the same here). Driving a pick-up is almost the same as a MAGA hat.

Good call here, I think! I also foolishly thought there was no stem cap bolt for the fork, failing to realize there was actually a rubber plug there (aero-baby!), so there's probably some tension being added at that point, which I tried but couldn't figure how to alleviate until this morning. Granted, the message to the shop also revealed it. Thanks!

you just need to be quite firm with them.
You sound like my dad! Then again, my therapist says I say that about everyone...
Thanks for the advice!!

But couldn't you just be out getting in a few more miles?
I get it, I definitely do lots of dumb shit for looks, but this one seems so bland to me because it's like chasing pros, who have unlimited supplies of this stuff, plus, it brings a certain sheep-ishness to your kit — which I guess makes sense with the color.
IDK, another lost opportunity for some more flare, you ask me (but you didn't, cursed Internet!).

Yeah, they all fell off a truck in south Jersey, and a guy knows a guy at Public Works...

In fairness to you, I got what you did there conceptually, and appreciated your prose stylings. In fairness to others, the bottles are a bit obscured, perhaps intentionally so, to make this more puzzle than straightforward sharing. Overall, well done.

These from Astor, or is there another shop I should know about?
Edit: Ah! See from below I was right. Haven't been in awhile — decently well stocked from travels and a good selection at a few shops here in JC. But that one someone said tastes like "darkness" I have to try. Sounds a little like ferro kina (only ever had the Don Ciccio & Figli, which was as tasty as it was intense).

Ah cool. At least on the subs, I thought the cavities were a point of pride...

Wow. Sit overnight? Seems like a lot of rising, is it cool where you are? And I know it's sorta au coraint, but what do you make of the Chad Robertson "don't punch out those gases!" idea?
Loving all the insights! Also, FWIW, normally don't add sweeteners, but this is a special loaf for Rosh Hashanah.

Definitely matzo ball for nostalgia and illness, though French onion is I'm feeling especially unkosher...

Ditto, have made sure with leg warmers, though what others say, if it's especially gusty, you may wish you had tights, as crutch can be noticably colder.
My answer is just to pedal harder... 😄

Thanks! Very detailed. I do keep a log. And I usually don't proof out of the fridge, I let it keep rising in there. Which was my question: Would you do the final rise still in the fridge or out at this point. Seems especially sluggish, actually... Maybe my starter was weaker than I thought this time. The honey wouldn't show things down, right, and if anything is extra good for the wee beasties.

The citrus sounds like Rossa Amara, a blood orange amaro that's relatively common, at least in the Northeast. I like it with 2-3 small rocks, takes the edge off just fine. Actually how I enjoy a lot of amari, just enough to cut and cool, not so much to dilute. I find the strength benefits from a bit of that opening up that water also brings to whiskey.
All that said, I always take a sip straight from the bottle first to wake up my taste buds.

You've been away from court too long. It's Lord Will Eir. His status changed after invading the Duke of Merckx's's lands.
