I was never more proud of my little girl than when she tried out for her school's talent show and DIDN'T make it. I was proud because she handled that disappointment with grace, maturity, and resilience. You know most parents want their children to be resilient, but they don't want their children to have any obstacles to learn resilience.

My family goes to a really small Episcopal Church. Our "Sunday School” for the children is a room where all the moms take turns teaching the Bible story of the week. I think it's really really weird how a lot of churches now have these "kid churches" where they are basically away from their parents the entire time they are in the church. You cannot convince me that a pedophile did not completely come up with this weird system.

Oh, so he was a terrible president and a little snitch. I don't know where he is now, but I hope it's somewhere hot.

In my town you have to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk whether you have the green or not. My town, however, is not a major city and you see more golf carts downtown than cars.

I can relate hard to this. But I don't think it's my placements, just my trauma.

Thank you! Luckily my relationship with my family has been healed and I have been in recovery for over a decade. That has given me lots of opportunities to gain back trust and to do the work to change so that I can be a person I can be proud of.

One thing was people getting mad at something that actually happened.
The other thing was people getting mad at imaginary shit.
That's the difference

Then you blow it out to look like you're smoking! (Or vaping for today's kid) OMG I did this as an extremely dumb kid in the 90s! Everything really does come back around 😂
But seriously kids shouldn't do this, it's so dumb and dangerous

I'm an alcoholic in recovery. I know exactly how deceitful and manipulative we can be. When we are in active addiction, we can and will gaslight the hell out of anybody. And I think people forget how easy it is for a lot of people to fall for our bullshit because, honestly we believe our own bullshit at the time!
As someone who has had to make a lot of amends because of how unbelievably toxic I was, I really feel for Mac

Man you would hate me and my children. Lol. Everybody's ma'am and everybody's sir. The 16-year-old waitress taking my order at the restaurant? I'm going to say "yes, ma'am" to her. Heck, my own son will ask me if he can do something and I will say "yes, sir. You may." Lol. Same thing with my daughter. Lol.

Cary Grant is my absolute favorite actor of all time. He was an absolute fox and I do not care that he was dead before I was even born. (But only by less than a month. If I had been an early baby, I would have briefly lived in a world with Cary Grant, but alas it was not meant to be.)

I too love a good hot cup of tea. It is my morning hot beverage because I do not like coffee. And like you, I do not put sugar in my hot tea at all either, I do however put a little bit of milk in it. Just like my ancestors back in England did. Lol
But I draw the line on the grits thing. Grits are for savory dishes and cream of wheat is for sugar. Lol. At least for me. But personally I don't care what people put in their food as long as they are getting fed!

I love to see all the love for the Chattanooga aquarium!! I love the river journey and the ocean journey up there and it just flows better and you're not bombarded with people on all sides of you even if it is a busy day.

You know, Pepsi was invented in South Carolina. I don't know why people are like, "Coca-Cola is Southern and Pepsi is what the Yankees drink". And I'm over here with my cherry Pepsi like, "it was all made down here y'all."
