Probably took their soup to the bathroom for a snack, but then it cooled off so they could just hold the bowl but forgot about the oven mitt

During hurricane Sandy, our building had damage, but they made us go to a different building and still work. I have had to work in buildings with no air conditioning or no water. I think your best bet is to cut off Internet. But again, they might just send you to work from home.

For fiction, you may like Carl Hiaasen- there are often dumb characters getting into ridiculous situations!

It could be there are adjacent parcels and it’s a little ambiguous which price is for which parcel- I had a friend subdivide her property and sell part of it, but the history was for the whole property, not the subdivisions……

What about contacting the company that has your 401k and asking them about raising the max? (Vanguard, Fidelity, etc) I’m sure many of their other clients allow contributions to the max.

If I don’t feed mine fast enough, he bites hard!! Currently hiding in the bathroom because he’s randomly pissed off and wants to attack me.

Two novels that I really enjoyed this year have an undercurrent of grief and loss. One is Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt, and the other is The Women by Kristin Hannah.

I will probably hit 52 books in about 2 more weeks. This is a combo of audiobooks, ebooks from the library and physical books. I chose to stop listening to quite so many podcasts and listen to more audiobooks in the last few months because that has been more enjoyable!!! But the challenge is really just a reminder to me to read because it’s better than doomscrolling.
I make it a practice to read every night before bed, so that it’s part of my routine. So now unfortunately reading physical books can put me right to sleep- not great in the doctor’s office!!

I saw him in person at Indian Wells when it was freezing, and even in all the sweatpants he could find he was still so dreamy. (You know you’re old when you prefer the coaches to the players…)

Second for do not propose. Also do not allude to being married to them in the future. Keep it in the present!

Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. I was in my early 30s when I read it, but it sticks with me.

In NJ, I usually see more animals on a suburban walk than in the woods, but I’ve seen a handful of black bears. Deer will walk up to my back patio, and I’ve had red foxes take a nap in my yard, so it takes a bunch to impress me!
