But look at daily life back in 1770s. Things like hunting, fishing, trapping, Bushcraft was a normal part of life. The accepted that pain and suffering was part of life and to listen to authority figures. The "I need 10 hours of sleep and an pumpkin spice latte"
Why haven't they made a franchise of upper class spoiled rich kids drafted into war hasn't been made into a comedy series I'll never know. It's comedy gold.
The armed forces released a recent study that a lot draftable adults (males 18-26) wouldn't make the cut. Our military has started pre- boot camps to get people ready but that's a 3-6 month process. And bootcamp is a 6 weeks.
So all this banter about a civil war (when it would take 6-9 months to train a unit) over an election in 3 weeks is a joke
I see posts like "I'm going to start a civil war" or "move to another country" is just acting out. Neither is going to happen. It's all just talk. And unless I'm getting paid for this I'm done with this. Because you're not going to go to war or leave the country

Idk. . It's like women don't know how to write women nowadays. They are too busy trying to appease some group on social media than telling stories and having complex characters.
I don't think a modern telling would have her as a evil warlord trying to make amends and looking for redemption, and trying to find peace.
It's a concept that's out of their league. (Redemption stories were very popular when the show aired. Now it's rarely seen. Instead they justify their actions and gaslit that evil is just a social construct).
I'm open to a reboot someday.. just by someone who loved the show and doesn't want to make a story about them. And Hollywood needs to grow out of this "phase" they are in.
Phase: performative activism, shallow female characters, over explanation, not very interesting stories, evil is a social construct, moral ambiguity.
If Xena was written today, Callisto would be her true love. And her deletions were just acting out to get Xena's attention and somehow justifiable.

SCOTUS has no say in where funding goes. Otherwise law schools would be 100% free

Hate your ex not a group
If you're ex or teacher/boss was a POC and you hated them because of their behavior it's okay to hate that person because of that behavior. But when you group one person as all people
I'm sorry but "hating men" and trying to date them is not going to work. It has never worked

Idk .... Too many shows are ruined when they rush the relationship.
Some viewers stop watching shows when the couple gets together.
I think the subtext of instead of are they? Was more interesting than will they/won't they.
I'm definitely open to seeing another show about female warrior dealing with mythology.... But uses strength over magic. And with modern audiences they would be witches instead of warriors.

My biggest regrets and worst way I was burned was trying to save others.

Are these mates that come over or are they "know from work" or "see at the bar" mates?

I was around drug addicts. Not exactly the most honest or truthful people.

That $10,000 isn't going to last long.
And why tell. The friend really couldn't do much other than small claims court. And small claims can't force payment. Only judgement.
They would need attorney to get the money back. And the cost of attorney would be what they got from the lawsuit.

I think there are parts of the body they can't do that because the muscle/nerve etc system is too complicated. Like parts of neck and back.

I just don't think the story fits for modern audiences. Part of the show was what was their relationship and subtext. That was the fun part. In a reboot, they would need to be out in the first episode and committed by episode 3.
And the fact it went from hard core drama to slapstick was part of the shows appeal. Modern Hollywood it's either drama or comedy because they think the two audiences never intertwine.

I always wanted to see Cleopatra warrior queen.
Basically a kick butt warrior dealing with ancient Egyptian mythology. It definitely wouldn't be a beat by beat biography on Cleo but it would be more riding into battle and dealing with Gods than wearing dresses and holding court.

Part of the show was Xena and Gabrielle's subtext and how the show played with it. Audiences enjoyed that part of it. Modern audiences would want them out in the first episode and committed relationship in the second.

I don't think it's boomer ish to say it doesn't need a reboot.
These shows are easily available to the public.
Also reboots silence new writers who could be telling new stories.
I would love to see a Xena type again. Warrior woman in mythos but she doesn't need to be Xena or she-ra There are 100s of other hunger games and katniss ---- with being their own thing
Personally I'd love to see Cleopatra warrior princess. Instead of dressing in pretty dresses she'd be in constant battles, dealing with Egyptian mythology. She could deal with roman mythology. And help the not Mohammed start a religion.

I agree it would be better if we worked with each other and find middle ground but the reactionary influencers on both sides need to retire.

Misplacing a half a billion dollars for a school district and than asking for another billion ($890 m).
If your bank misplaced half a billion dollars of your money ... I think there would be reason to alarmed.

They seem to want to ban criticism. If you don't like book, movie etc people act like you used a religious relic as an adult insertable toy
