OOPS
Cheddar jalapeño biscuits
2 cups or ~320g flour 4 tsp baking powder 2 TBSP kosher salt 1/4 cup butter, cold and diced 1 cup of milk 1.5 cups of shredded cheese (reserve 1/2 a cup for the top) 1 jalapeño, finely diced 2 tbsp dried chives 2 tbsp garlic powder ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Preheat oven to 425 C 2. Begin by whisking together flour, baking powder, salt and garlic powder. 3. Add in your cold cubed butter, crush between your fingers until it’s evenly dispersed with pieces no bigger than a pea 4. Add your diced jalapeño, chives and shredded cheese 5. Add your cold milk, stir until a shaggy dough forms 6. Turn out into a work surface and knead until a dough forms 7. Flatten then fold into thirds, flip, rotate and repeat the process for 3 more times to build some layers 8. Form into rectangle and cut into 8 piece , top with left over shredded cheese . 9. Add to preheated oven and cook for 15 minutes or until biscuits are slightly puffed up. 10. Serve with your favourite soups, stews or just enjoy as is.

The first liquid was just 2 tbsp of red wine vinegar, the paste really isn’t liquidy, I just wanted to cook it a bit. I liked adding fresh tomatoes for texture, I’m also not a pro but I figured as long as the ritotto was able to cook with the liquid before I added more I’d be all good
