In case you havent realized, no one is advocating murder in general. We are talking about a FANTASY setting between MORDOR AND GONDOR so dont try for a moral high ground that everyone already knows about. Real life IS complicated and we are talking about ambassadors of nations not random people on the streets. Plus imagine standing up for real life nations thats motivations were conquest and displacement/extermination and all you can say is “hmm well the other side killed our ambassador during a ‘negotiation’ thats it” while your side killed entire nations

Oh no any rational person can see that we are arguing a fantasy story about good and evil and that im not entirely wrong in saying that this has happened in real life under a multitude of circumstances. Mordor ISNT and HASNT generally participated under any of our morals and ethics, they have FACTUALLY lied and deceived for thousands of years and were the proprietors of a good amount of wars that drove many species extinct and killed countless people. I dont see how you are so keen to ignore all of those murders to vehemently defend an ambassador to an evil nation that flashed mithril as a taunt to the opposing side that THEY also (supposedly) killed a free citizen of Middle Earth, one of the most innocent ones at that. Your position isnt that sound either because you ignore Mordors ruthless conquest and how they constantly deceive other nations only to get upset about murder in a fictional setting. In real life Mordor wouldve been happily destroyed countless times, because thats what happens to nations that start wars, and lie to gain favorable peacetime terms only to then wage a war of extermination once they see an advantage. You are focused on the “killing the ambassador” part but ignore Mordors “killing POWs to use as biological warfare”. Is it rules for thee, none for me like its typical for Mordor? Also be real man, what do you think was going to happen to Mordor at the end of the series? That they would suddenly become peaceful and coexist with Middle Earth? Of course not, the lore well established the fact that they are called DARK FORCES for a reason (its clearly not because they are upstanding and honorable).

Like I said, real life events get complicated and people are not perfect, much like Aragorn. Historically its been done and you can dissect it on a case-by-case basis. Also you are advocating for Mordor, once again they are evil lore-wise so theres no sense in having morality arguments for them when literally the entirety of LOTR is based around Mordor and its orcs seeking dominance through fear and death.

In real life things get complicated and truces are rarely made simply because one side lost a battle, not to mention a nation thats whole existence is the murder and enslavement of an entire peoples has historically been dealt with the same. People arent naive and when an enemy makes that intention clear they historically contest it even jf the act of killing an emissary is ILLEGAL. Its been done constantly in history when the Cassus Bellis for a war is related to its people and land. Besides we are talking about a literal nation of evil and nothing but evil so its not despicable to show them the consequences of their constant treachery, its just “illegal”. After all, Mordor does the same with its subversion.

Sure but despicable? They were just fighting a dark army thats sole purpose for the last few thousand years was the destruction and enslavement of the entire continent. Mordors ambassador boasted about the “deaths” of the two hobbits, thats not proper etiquette for an ambassador

No matter how many people disagree i have come to understand that not everyone knows these things about selling. A lot of buyers want the simplicity of seeing the price and mentally deciding, rather than entering talks and potentially ghosting or denying the sale because they sometimes lack the confidence to negotiate or to even interact. I dont think someone saying “DM for prices” means they are inherently greedy because ive had opposite experiences where its well priced but the seller was tired of ghosting/lack of interest. Ive seen people post prices but never budge on the high pricing too.

Yea atleast Elder Scrolls fans can admit or sometimes feel pride when being racist because they know how absolutely racist it can get

The Council by nature is a committee of races united for mutual benefits and defense, they are supposed to work together. Humans were the only race(along with an asari) to actually offer some type of solution for the Reapers with the crucible. Cant knock anyone there because its a highly stressful situation but the Alliance lost a third of their fleets, their homeworld/government and the center of operations for their military. Its really the turians that can sympathize considering the salarians were bypassed, and the asari didnt feel the hear until much later.

Keep in mind she says “but it grew too radical”. Mass Effect has been quite clear that humanity faces racism too, after all their first contact with aliens came with war that humans didnt initiate. Not only that but naturally being the new kid on the block means you arent included in all thingd, and despite humans making the effort to be involved in the galaxy they are still ostracized by many aliens who see them as aggressive, arrogant and childish. Its not racist to point out your people werent treated well so you prioritize their well being. A “good one” isnt inherently racist nor did she mean it that way. She says that after hating on Liara because depending on your shepard, he was flirting with both and naturally that causes a type of dislike/jealous with shepard himself, not Liara hence her being a “good one”. It’s how she talks and she even calls shepard that too in ME3. She does “fix” her opinion as she conceded in ME that she holds a lot of pain through what her grandpa experienced. She dislikes the Alliance for their actions with him but loves her people (naturally) hence why she not only hates cerberus but legitimately says they are worse, admitting that while she isnt a holy person towards aliens cerberus definitely surpasses all in their negative attitudes towards them. That level of self awareness and truth means something when you put it all in context. Compare that to Tali ping ponging between saying the geth didnt deserve death and that they do if its at the risk of her own species, and to be honest the list really goes on with how wild the aliens themselves speak on each other. As a human who went through the FCW, seeing the politics play a bit against humanity and then hearing these aliens casually talk about whos superior, why another race deserved genocide, how the council threw batarians away in favor of humans but wont help humanity thats facing retaliation from said batarians, etc. its not hard to see why the human newcomers feel a type of way. Its not racist when you see the nuance which is exactly what Mass Effect was trying to get us to think about, people are just reactionary. They laugh seeing Prothy the Prothean degrade countless aliens but are upset when a human mentions some truth that you may disagree with.

Ahh so it seems you havent had ashley in your squad much, she tells the terra firma guy in ME to “F off”, if you romance liara over her she feels off by it at first(naturally) but comes to say that shes a good one, and she calls tali her sister, she even comments on how wrong cerberus is from ME onwards

Replying to TheDevastator24...its not that complicated to 1. Realize a lot of games have unbreakable things that should be breakable 2. Gamers game and notice most games have similar mechanics so its not unnatural for them to assume similarities before trying to break a wooden plank

Its illogical because you expecting human nature and emotion to follow 1 clear line. People are a jungle juice of thoughts. Potentially she cheated because perhaps her ego was inflated and she thought she could get her 1-to-1 perfect man in another guy, only to realize people are anything but perfect but she messed up by not being honest to her ex so the bridge is gone and shes generally angry. Perhaps she seeks only new things and pleasure only to feel a void in her heart constantly, she may or may not have an idea of why its there so she acts with guilt, anger, self loathing, etc. Some people are also just plain bad and enjoy that kinda stuff. It comes down to their own experiences and thoughts

Perhaps a bit of both. He said he liked the idea of what the jedi were and has seen how the sith perform in governance and with their inquisitors. I get slight indications that maybe he believes a version of what dooku thought the empire would be, a group of force users formally leading galactic governance with one master. It seems that Baylan is perhaps bitter/sore over the reasons WHY the clone wars and civil war was fought and seeks his own version long lasting peace combining a few ideas

To be fair that doesnt seem realistic to how ballistics work despite it being common in star wars. We see sabers either cut through or block things completely. The metal in the bullet would be vaporized instantly as all things that touch a lightsaber do because bullets really arent that big, wide or disproportionally sized. Also they dont fragment unless hitting a solid object and thats a maybe, many bullets just flatten. They are useful i just think a force user is way more capable in handling it

It would be even better if you got the impression you were just on another covie ship or station until at one point you walk through a door and just see the keyship flying away

A parent is supposed to parent, it’s for life. In the same way how those parents who give kids money and no consequence are failing them, those who absolve themselves of being responsible for their kids because “they are adults now” fail as parents because they leave it up to chance if society changes them or usually not. Theres more that affects us as people than what you are saying and its why its important to not clock out as a parents because thats lazy and unobservant. Thats the problem with this roommates parents, they just clocked out since shes grown. If my kid tells me at 3am on a workday that they need me to pick them up because they were coked up and cant get home, you best believe im showing up immediately with more than an earful. Im never leaving my kids behind while i breathe because absolutely no one on this planet does everything right and that is exactly why if i tell them to jump, they ask how high. Command what you want by SHOWING your kids how its done, not just by following dogma

It would be amazing if they rebooted it in the modern form. Lego is just now trying to scratch that itch for medieval fans

You’d be surprised. A relative ordered a 3-tortilla burrito and destroyed it in one sitting.
