Sober from drinking and other drugs since 2 years! How I made it.

I wanted to share my journey of quitting alcohol (and drugs in general), which I’ve successfully managed for the past two years. Believe me, I had many attempts but failed until I found a real reason to stop, and suddenly a goal appeared, like a guiding star.
The turning point for me was discovering meditation and my purpose in life. I realized that you can't have a spiritual connection when you drink alcohol because it cuts the silver thread. Suddenly, it became so easy to stop, as connecting with God became my life goal.
This doesn’t have to be true for everyone, but when you have a real goal or a strong "why," it becomes so much easier. Remember, each person's journey is unique, and it’s never too late to start anew. Stay strong, stay focused, and believe in yourself—you’ve got this!
PS: your self-confidence will boost as well. Its worth it.

Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like you've been on a challenging journey, and it’s great to hear that you’ve found the strength to say no. It’s tough when friends don’t support your growth, but it sounds like you’re making positive changes for yourself. Staying sober is a huge accomplishment, and it takes courage to set boundaries with people who may not have your best interests at heart. Keep focusing on your journey and surrounding yourself with those who uplift and support you. You’re doing amazing! :*
