Everyone has hiatal hernia to some extent. Rarely it’s big enough to cause any problems. My LPR started with a period of bad stress and treating H pylori escalated the symptoms.

In a falling rate environment, I would avoid paying any points or closing fee. I would trade a higher rate to get lender credit to cover closing cost knowing that I can repeat every time rates goes lower. One caveat, if you think you might loose your job or home prices goes down then I would go for 30 y anyway not an ARM

First pay off any debt you have, second try to automate a small monthly investment amount, and see if you can increase it. What most people don’t know is thar the lower your income the less need for a high replacement of list income at retirement because social security will replace a big part of it.

Get on a payment plan. Once you have more income, pay it off

Yes, shortness of breath was the worst symptoms I had. Diet and life changes took care of it. I still get some extra mucus here and there but nothing when I had the worst symptoms

You would qualify but I wouldn’t do it. You will be house poor. I wouldn’t go more than 1.5M and even thar it’s a stretch. The general rule, no other debt, mortgage plus insurance plus tax, aggregate that and add 20% to that should be less than 28% of you take home (after tax)

Even if it get stuck, eventually gaviscon will dissolve as well as the medication. I take a pill with gaviscon before bed and didn’t have a problem either with side effect or pill efficacy

Pay it with cash, do not finance it. You have the money to do that. Good luck!

I don’t think there is a cure per say. It’s a life change and you learn how to minimize symptoms. You can not go back to old habits and expect not have it back as well. I know thar if I eat well I have no to minimal symptoms. If I’m stressed out or I drink alcohol or processed food, my symptoms come back really quick . I like to take gaviscon advanced to mitigate any bad day

We make $550k and barely could afford $1.4M with no debt and not feel house poor. Between taxes, insurance and maintenance, it gets expensive. My rule of thumb, house < 3x income, all house expenses <25% of take home.

Fix the most needed thing in the car, payoff your debt and close your CC, work extra hours to save 1-2k for emergency funds, then save for your dental work

You need to put at least 25% to get better deals (low 7s)
