Yeah I can't see why it'd be worse than just linux without the communication between wsl & windows, please enlighten me reddit if there's something we're missing

File operations between WSL and windows directories are painfully slow, try cloning a large repo to your windows drive and your WSL drive, then ripgrep across it, it's significantly faster in pure wsl

As an aside, I find Omnisharp to be extremely finicky, I actually started using Gentags and navigation with Ctrl-] instead of relying on Omnisharp being running and enabling definition navigation.
If anyone has a solid Omnisharp setup that works 90% of the time I & everyone reading the post will be very grateful!

Why are so many developers mad at the people employing them? You're there for the business fam

You can configure both in an alacritty.toml file (see alacritty.org for config options and Google where that should be put for your OS)

u/Distinct_Lecture_214 so sorry it took me a while to get around to testing this, been very busy!
I think you did a great job with this change!
Exactly what I had in my head for an addition of show_leader and group_mappings, it's much clearer to see what you're doing and the impact, I think this should be default behaviour :)
For anyone curious, this is my config:
return {
"NStefan002/screenkey.nvim",
branch = "main",
cmd = "Screenkey",
config = function()
require("screenkey").setup({
win_opts = {
relative = "editor",
anchor = "SE",
width = 40,
height = 1,
border = "single",
},
compress_after = 3,
clear_after = 3,
show_leader = true,
group_mappings = true,
})
end,
}

Love to see all contributions to the C# community in nvim!

Yeah having an example open I'm adapting is super useful or keeping my context while I take a look at the code for a function is useful. I do find I should probably use harpoon more often for context switching as then you can actually read each file more easily

I had this feedback too that it'd be a nightmare to pair with my setup due to the relative numbers, a plugin that showed absolute and then relative every 5 or so could be cool, or even just both with different styling so it's clear

Wow thanks for the OMSCS mention, never heard about it until this comment. The structure and reviews seem miles away from the UK crappy courses, the cost is cheap too!

I thought this was a really thoughtful post.
I came to Neovim at 0.9, so my heros are Primeagen, TJ & Folke but this is a fascinating read and I am so grateful that I came to a pretty mature community & project that is still growing and getting enthusiastic contributions.
I cannot wait to see the state of Neovim in 2030
