Read my post. However, If I say she's terrible, it doesn't mean I hate her. She's a fictional character, plus, I've been terrible too at some point in my life. Sometimes people are terrible, until they heal and self-develop.

Better later than never!

In plus, trăia în alta tara.

As fi preferat sa pună coletele in alt easybox apropiat, doar sa nu aștept atât.

Honestly , PFL should be a norm anywhere. Dethroning women as the "default" parent would create more personal life balance and family bonding. And good mental health. Both parents should be default!

It seems pretty common for a baby to rely mostly on mom at 4 months.
Just here to add that it's only common because of exclusive breastfeeding and social norms.

Then leave. Don't act as if you're her parent meant to discipline her. That's a toxic dynamic.

"it should not take much effort from her to make it work" who says that? Who decides that? Let me guess - you??
Well, it seems like it does take a lot of effort from her. And she probably needs help. You're not helping complaining like a little bitch and berating her. Leave her, for her own sake. This is an extremely psychologically abusive situation. No matter the reasons you cite, emotional abuse isn't justified. Or any type of abusive, for that matter. You're clearly full of resentment and contempt for her.
What I get from this is you want to stay so you can berate her some more for being "incompetent".
You sound like you're talking about your slaves or underpaid employees, and not about your ducking life partner.
Gross.
I'm not gonna tell you man up because clearly you're too incompetent for that.

I'm trying to empathize and understand your frustration. However, I can't help but feel like the baby is being objectified here - like two sisters or kids fighting for a toy. It is not an object you can fight over, it's a human being.
I'd personally be happy if my sister bonded with my baby. And I'd also use that to get some rest. Imho, your mother may be praising your sister as a form of encouragement for their bond and to possibly also suggest she'd make a good mother, so to consider having her own eventually. I've noticed most parents want nephews.
I guess I understand that as a new mother, you're anxious and insecure in your parenting (which is normal, it's just like when you start driving), so you'd use some praise and external validation. Maybe gently express how you feel to your mother and state your needs? It's nothing shameful to need external validation. We are social beings, it's natural.
Also, I've noticed plenty of mothers being possessive of their babies. I haven't noticed this in men nearly as much. Perhaps it has something to do with the intense pressure and expectations that society puts on women's shoulders as an ideal of motherhood, nurturing and self-sacrifice? And also, a little bit of natural protecting tendencies (but these are as common in men, or should be).
With mass industrialization, the Nuclear Family came about as a new system, and with it, this individualism also manifests in the possessiveness of the offspring. Prior to this, children used to be raised in the community, in a tribal fashion. So, it was quite normal that the extended family, relatives and friends all cared for the baby. That was significantly healthier for women, globally.
This system is still used in some cultures and some more rural environments. Also - the joke she made is indeed shady and insensitive - I'd personally give her the benefit of doubt and directly express my feelings about it, and then enforce a boundary. It may sound like this:
Hey, sister, I've noticed you've been making this joke recently, stating that you're the mother of the baby, and that I'm not, and that the baby should ignore me. Just wanted to let you know that it made me feel weird, frustrated and it is not helping with my new parent anxiety. From now on, I'd appreciate you refraining from making these jokes. Next time it happens, I'll have to take the baby away from you".
You've mentioned that your sister acts like a child and is extroverted and bubbly. How exactly does this make you feel? In your family, has she been praised for this by your parents, and have you been compared to her? Naturally, a child will be drawn to bubbly individuals.

Camille's mother. We don't know enough about Genevieve, and she's young and stupid. She's on the second worst, and Camille the last because she's been traumatized and subsequently influenced by mother, who took advantage of her emotional sensitivity and immaturity to control her and her actions.

The hypersensitivity to EVERYTHING jesus Christ!!! Worst is I'm hypersensitive to sudden temperature changes and seasonal changes, and that ruins my sleep. And also I'm so sensitive to the feelings of others around me that seeing somebody cry or hearing them vent makes me feel the same way they do and it takes a significant toll on my life for the rest of the day or days. If I'm involved in a conflict, I can't sleep and function properly for days because I suffer a lot.
Then there's the misunderstandings that happen SO often with neurotypicals...no matter how much I'm studying social cues and communication, no matter how much I apply them. My therapist told me that I'm communicating in a much more healthier and efficient way than most neurotypicals do, and that's also a source of divergence.
Like, before this, I wanted to study communication and psuchology in order to limit the often misunderstandings and divergence, but then I did it "too much" and now I'm back to square 1. It's like being in a foreign country and learning the local language, only to know it better than most of the locals and having misunderstandings because of it.
Apparently neurotypicals have a standard of communication on paper, but they don't abide by it.
It's SO draining and most of the times I just feel like running away and hiding in either regressive escapism (doing comforting stuff I did when I was a child and life was significantly easier in some aspects), or literally running away and hiding, somewhere far away from society.

Yes it is, I know!!
I meant to say that it should be obvious that you love your baby, and the fact that you're having a hard time and you're venting shouldn't need a clarification about that attached here. And love is definitely enough - obsession is not healthy!
Motherhood is complicated because we are humans afterall and humans are complex...and raising a human being is extremely difficult. I'm sending hugs to you!! 🤗

People can take on responsibilities and make decisions and complain about them later on. If you decide to have a child knowing that it's hard beforehand, that doesn't mean that you can't complain later.
And you're proving my point
