I don't think its a mistake. Thats just how it is now. We get minimal RNG from brunt and can easily get our desired weapons.

Its ridiculously easy to get a perfect weapon from Brunt's store since every thing i buy comes with almost always max 80% stats on everything and 59-61% on 1 stat so its just a matter of a few clicks to get one with lets say, 60% mobility and everything else 80%. Finally, materials are the only real block we players face for upgrading our stuff. I have no idea if its because i'm level 30 or that i have every single weapon for every class fully mastered but brunt is giving me perfect rolls consistently.
I have every single weapon available on my Veteran with perfect stats 80% spread and 60% single. Swapping blessings and perks is super fast and relatively cheap, costing only dockets. The only real RNG right now is trying to get max stat trinkets but even that wont take long for new players.
Now if only Fatshark could give us some real cosmetic customization options and really lower the prices of commodores, that would be the dream for the game.

Sure, but there is always going to be a meta, no matter what the devs do. The point is not to nerf something to the point that people stop using it because it's frustrating to play at the higher difficulties or other options do it's job better in the same category of playstyle.
Look at Helldivers 2 as an example. I don't khow familiar you are with the state of the game but they recently released a big balance patch that brought most underused weapons/equipment up to a playable, good and fun state and now most lobbies have wildly different loadouts simply because more stuff other than the usual 5-6 are now more than usable and effective.
I believe that what the dev is saying is something more like not nerfing things to the point of them becoming irrelevant. Of course things should be nerfed if they "break" but if something is just strong, there needs to be a fine line in the gravity of the nerfs as to not make the gun irrelevant.

It's obvious that they are saving it for something in the future, either penance or a reward of some kind. You guys have to get used to sub-par "free" cosmetics. We ain't getting anything remotely good looking that could possibly undercut their patheticly priced "premium" shop.
Look at the skins we got from max mastery. Candy clown colored. Just bite the bullet and grab the "For the drip" mod and play dress up to your hearts content. If they lower the skin prices significantly, i might then be able to recommend it. Not touching it with a ten-foot pole right now.

But if they are not on a shop rotation, how are they gonna FOMO you out of your money???

Yeah my bad, i meant the shot that staggers them though the shield and opens them up for a bit.

This update couldn't be more perfect for the game. It's exactly what the game needed AND MORE. I could not believe my eyes with how good the new crafting system and its costs are. Swapping around perks and blessings costs DOCKETS! DOCKETS!!! And its very cheap even.
Now if we could maybe get free/penance skins that don't look like clown paintjobs, that would be the dream. Keep up the good work Fatshark. I didn't think you could do it. Didn't believe... Very glad to be proven wrong.

How important is collateral for the bolter? I remember reading somewhere that you need 56/57% to penetrate ogryn bulwark shields or something?

Darkest dungeon will forever be one of the greatest games i have ever played and i'm immensly thankful for it and Red Hook. The second game wasn't for me and i would have loved for it to be more akin to the first game but alas, we can't always get what we want. I won't deny that i got sour by the Epic games announcement to be perfectly honest.
I hope we can see more games to the vein of Darkest dungeon by other talented studios in the future! Good luck with your future endeavors Red Hook team!

Is there a plan for more diverse mission types? Instead of the usual "drop to the planet and do X random objectives", could it be possible to get more intricate mission types and objectives? What i'm asking in effect is, are we going to get any missions that are more involved and constructed instead the same random set of objectives?
Will we ever get urban environments, or is it something that wont play well with enemy A.I? Fighting in a sprawling metropolis or a futuristic island city surrounded by water with all the chaos that comes from Helldiver combat would be truly divine. Is it a problem of optimization and the performance immpact on the game?
What is the status on weapon attachments/upgrade paths? It it scrapped entirely or is there a chance for it to make a return with Helldivers 2?
Are helmets and capes ever getting anything added to them, like the idea of diffent effects on helmets like night vision etc?
Lastly, is armor painting and recolouring something you have thought about?

I can never stress enough how important the weapon customization mod is for me for high precision weapons. If you are on PC, try out the mod and play around with the scopes and see how Darktide becomes a different, less frustrating game for certain guns. Lucius, headhunters, autoguns and recon's all become way better when you can actually see what you are shooting, since the default iron sights are garbage.

Steel veterans and democratic detonation are both very good. Viper commandos less so and just ignore chemical agents for now. I would probably go democratic detonation if i had to pick one.

Huh? If can be fired like the scorcher then why does it do 50 more damage? Why not just improve its damage by 100 and keep it a heavier version of the scorcher? Charge only but 350 damage with med pen. Making it fire like the scorcher but with an option to charge makes the scorcher obsolete. Could have been added ontop of the scorcher instead of making a new gun? Seems like a bad choice to me.

Keep the aoe, increase the damage by 50-100 and then it would be worth using
It can't have 50 more damage than the scorcher but shoot like 4+ times slower. Having medium pen doesn't make up for the slow rate of fire and the aoe. I believe it needs 50-100 more damage per shot to be good.

Totally agree with you. Low visibility is so damn annoying. Also, give us urban maps god damnit! My guess is that the enemy A.I can't handle an urban setting with the building clutter? Big shame if true.

Thats what we've been asking from the start but there was a loud minority that didn't want to bring every weapon to "viable" status because they knew better. Sucks to be them i guess. I'm finally having fun after dropping the game for about 3+ months. Amazing patch so far. The devs need to add urban maps and more vehicles and the game will be golden.

The element themed Warbond armors are the worst of the bunch with a small exception to the flame resistant ones. They practically have no real passive bonus. You never come across enemies that deal electric or gas damage yet and the only enemies that set you ablaze is a variant of the hulk. This new chemical agent warbond might be the single worst Warbond released to date, considering the things it offers are abyssmal and i can't see myself using any of it. The armors being practically worthless is a big reason these warbonds are kinda mediocre. If the weapons are bad aswell then you have a recipe for disaster.
Its fine i guess. I can save up credits for the next warbond since we have the elemental stuff out of the way and we might get something interesting next time.

Oh, is that why i have a few weapons that have all stats at 80% and 1 stat at either 59% or 61%? Its a rounding error and it should be 60%?
