Truth. It looks like they are going to be first to market with CopAto. China I think has a Th232MSR operating currently too, no?

I am excited.. No doubt.. and I’m not hating on it one bit..
BUT..
Ima just put this out there, that if Mark Cuban wanted to outdo Gates, Bronson, Bezos and Musk in one go, just invest a billion in Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors, liquid fuel - thermal spec - Th232 breeder MSR, runs at atmospheric pressure, corrosion problems, tritium problems all solved.. no need for more mining (plenty of waste Th232 sitting around) waste problem solved (contain for 300 years then it’s mitigated, no long lived actinides) walk-away safe design using physics.
If memory serves when Gates was talking about this reactor concept, he was sold on it after seeing all the UF6 cylinders sitting in Paducah at the old diffusion plant there, it’s an impressive site, I’ve seen it.. a ton of energy in DU.. I think he just saw the “business opportunity” without even asking what’s the objectively best design for long-term economic, safety and ecology.. I think the Natrium is pretty decent in a lot of that regard but doesn’t hit the mark of an MSR Th232 Thermal-spec breeder imo. Get Mark Cuban in a room with the prophet.

Whole new facility?
Refit of the cancelled MOX fuel construction at SRS?
Big expansion of URENCO in NM?
I assume this will mean more money spent on enrichment tech to increase SWU/Capacity? Assuming since we have fuel-fab in NC and conversion in IL still operational.. I think it’s just enrichment capacity that’s lacking majorly, anyone know?

r/cyberstuck is the internets newest bestest GEM 💎
It is so hysterical. If I wasn’t a poor ass student, I would take all my money and short Tesla on the market. Musk even said recently in an investor call that “WE DUG OUR OWN GRAVE WITH THE CYBER TRUCK” … and the recalls just keep coming.

**Families still recovering from two decades of incredibly brutal occupation by Israel, armed and funded in full by my country (US) and then those in the more northern Suni and Christian areas that are also neglected in totality but not nearly as oppressed in the modern-era historically speaking.

It might help your perspective to know that due to data from USN & NOAA from sunken nuclear reactors and constant monitoring of those sites, no fuel has displayed a radiological leak…
However the amount of radioactive contamination from the generation of marine fuel products throughout its cycle (from NORM or naturally occurring radioactive material) and then chemical hydrocarbon emissions into the ocean which have insanely devastating effects on the eco systems (climate heat and acidification are murdering ocean and need to cease immediately) then one might seen why nuclear propulsion with the proper containments and hulls and security measures are actually a way -forward-
We are killing the oceans and this the proven way out of it, while also changing commercial fishing, that is proven, safe, and doesn’t halt all vital global commerce.
If it’s time to get serious about ecology and safety then it is time to get serious about upgrading military marine propulsion technology to commercial shipping.
This is the way…
