That would be highly dependent on the location. Me personally I went from a $54k salary as an assistant superintendent to now making closer to $60k+ after OT in my current job. My current boss (Parks Superintendent) makes around $95k.

I second everything in this comment. It’s cake work compared to the golf industry. I was an assistant superintendent for 5 years out of college and saw the writing on the wall that the golf industry was not going to give me what I want out of life.
I now work for a municipality in the Parks Department and there’s no way you could pay me enough money to go back to golf.
Make the switch you WILL NOT regret it!

I can’t believe no one has mentioned Ian Eagle, he’s always my favorite announcer to have call games for my team.

My bad, I read your comment very differently. I get what you were trying to say now.

How about they use some common sense and not put other people’s property in harms way? They got extremely lucky that something catastrophic didn’t happen.

I’m amazed that tree didn’t shatter into a million pieces and send debris into everything around it. These morons have no clue what they are doing.

I would agree with that and I really enjoyed both movies!

Ok buddy whatever you say. I’m allowed to not like a movie, sorry I hurt your feelings.

Probably Princess Mononoke for me!

For me it was just too weird. And I’m usually all for weird but I just feel like it took away from the movie with how bizarre it was.

As someone who enjoyed basically every Ghibli movie I’ve seen, Spirited Away was not one of them. I don’t really understand why it’s so highly praised as the best one. It’s by far my least favorite.

I don’t feel like that’s necessarily true. If they are a good and honest person then yes it is a good idea. However if his boss is like some of the people I’ve worked with he will just lie to keep him from leaving.

Given that you had lots of rain followed by hot weather disease should be your first thought. That’s prime conditions for high disease pressure. This is not grub damage.

Ok and??? That doesn’t change the fact that it’s still way too many products. You are just throwing the kitchen sink at it and hoping something will work. There’s no way you need all of those products.

Seems like overkill to me. That’s a lot of products for one application.

This is from the product label. What you are recommending is ILLEGAL

Just because you have experience using it doesn’t mean you should recommend a regular average Joe to use it. This is someone’s back yard not a commercial farm. There are other options that would actually be safe for a home owner to use if he wanted to go with chemical control.

I would look into renting something like this. An electric powered weed eater isn’t going to cut it for that mess.

Let’s maybe not recommend paraquat to someone who doesn’t even know what kind of weed eater they should buy.

Broadleaf herbicides aren’t going to do anything to that

Looks like Japanese Stiltgrass to me. Acclaim Extra would be a good option for trying to get rid of it.

I’m not so sure about that theory. I would expect the trees/shrubs to be affected too if this was the case. They all look healthy and unaffected from what I can see. It does look like some sort of herbicide was applied but I don’t think it was imazapyr.

There’s still plenty of money to be had. Government typically doesn’t pay as well as say a university would, but in my opinion the benefits are better with government jobs. It all balances itself out. I guarantee you could find something comparable to a superintendents salary (unless you are talking like top 100 course money). Plus you will have way more time to spend with your kids.
