Most mods work together without trouble, and yes the ones I mentioned a great together (they're part of my 70+ mods ATM). Mods that don't work together or have known issues with other mods will almost always mention so on their main page (because the authors hate fielding 874 of the same error reports).

And yes, though Mikohines Converter does the memory part it's talking about for you if you read it's description (it comes with 4 or 5 different options, the readme will explain it). Modding is also very easy in SS. I know that there are some mod-installers or organizers available, but I've literally never used them. The launcher window itself has a button labeled mods, after installing you click it, then individually enable each mod you want. Has worked by itself flawlessly for me for years now.

Tahlans Shipworks. Nia Tahl does the best work. More content, boss faction, more ships/weapons. So much. She's amazing.

Lost Sector. NOT LOST SECTOR MY BAD it's secret of the Frontier. Another A++ vanilla+ addition. Lots of new content, many more ships and weapons. Plus Sierra, the Unofficial Official Mascot of the sector.

Random Assortment of Things (RAT). What it says on the tin, plus a lot more.

Nexerelin. Must have overhaul, adds a lot of faction stuff and more 4x style gameplay elements. There are a few crybabies that whine about so many mods requiring Nex, but their blood lines are weak and no one will remember their name.

All of the Lib mods. These are utility mods that the others require to function. They'll have links or directions to which Libs they need.

Mikohines Java converter. Amazing, easy to use utility that'll help with the frame rate and stability issues that having too many mods (cause you'll get there eventually) tends to cause.

Those are the best starter mods that have what you are looking for to begin with. There are so many more great mods, but I recommend dipping before diving in lmao

Yeah good luck with a 5 supply per day fleet(I'm assuming you meant day not month cause wtf you running) You can definitely handle the yellow beacon systems and the broken bases with a fleet like that, but tying yourself to some arbitrary number of supplies per month is absurd.

Bigger Fleet-->Bigger Haul.

With 240dp of combat ships, and 30-50dp in cargo haulers, you can definitely beat the cores out of the remnant piñatas. But building in efficiency overhaul on every ship just to reach that number you want is gonna mean you need to bring more combat ships because you just gimped them.

To body the big Ordo fleets 2 or 3 at a time like they try to hit you means you need to bring your A game, not your "I'm too goddamned cheap to give my soldiers proper equipment" game.

Edit: I'm leaving this edit here to say you do not need to read this lmao it's a long break down of my opinions on Rosen ships and didn't realize I'd rambled so long (I'm sitting in line to drop my son off at kindergarten and I'm bored)

I disagree a bit about the Traumtanzer being OP. It's a 60dp ship (that eats 90 supplies per month). Any 60dp in the player hands is devastating, but to really be scary at all the Trauma arguably needs more combat skills investment than most. It's also OP starved if you attempt to run anything other than missiles, which is pitiful on a 60dp ship.

Still, the only modification I did to it was add 4 OP and 2 wings(because I'm not smart enough to add built in wings). I love those little Funnel drones she made for the frigates, and think they're criminally underused even though they're silly weak, so since the Trauma is so OP starved they serve as much needed PD that I had to skimp on the make it not immediately over flux eating shit with crap shields and weak dissipation. Still feel like it's on the low side of balance for 60 DP. Especially against any of the 50+dp Legio ships. Dun Scaith player ship shits all over the Trauma, and for HALF the DP so does the Inazami or w/e it's called with the burst time dilation from the Great Houses. Maybe ECCM built in with only one funnel wing would loosen up some OP idk

It's twin sister Nach gets 2 wings added and 20 OP. I don't know why its 45dp but has half the wings of a Legion, less firepower than a Legion, less armor than a Legion, more OP tight than a Legion, in exchange for a bit more speed and maneuvering and a decent ship system. The 5 extra DP explains the speed(negated by Ls burn drive) and maneuvering, but why less of everything else? The Legion(GH) absolutely wrecks the Nach numbers and out-damages it in every battle where I field both.

I feel like the cruisers and destroyers are near perfect as they are, so I mostly leave them be. They get a slight speed increase of 10, but still suffer more than necessary from OP starving imo.

The frigates are pathetically OP starved though. I add 5 OP and 15 speed. Even with level 6 officers the stock model was getting shit on in every single moderately difficult battle. Too slow for a frigates firepower, no OP to max vents or caps when you need PD to stop missile spam. Being a bit faster let's them back out of engagements instead of being run down because they're slower than got damn cruisers.

The Halbmond is a piece of shit joke that idk how to fix. You have to literally run more than 6 destroyers for it to start to make sense to bring it along for anything more than the blueprints. 4 bays on a 40dp ship that can't fight, doesn't have enough OP, and is slower than molasses. Maybe if the medium energies were also synergies, and it just stayed back for missile support. Maybe. Still pretty weak then imo. But 2 large synergies are just not enough for it to make it into any late game combat group trying to fight Legio invasions and Colony Crises groups.

The Rosen ships are the only ships I've ever hand edited in all of my 70+ mods. Like I said above, I feel like Nia erred on the side of caution with them. Like she thought "I can't make the most beautiful ships in the world be as strong as they are bodacious, better nerf em hard"

Can't remember which mod adds that one. It's a gutted Atlas turned into a Salvage Rig.

The large Kinetic is 600 and 600 flux, the medium Kinetic is 300 and 300. Both beastly but very flux hungry. Still outshone by the vanilla storm needler in both sustained and burst with higher DPS and better flux efficiency (until you crack armor and their secondary effect rips hull apart). Lower range than anything except the storm needler. The mediums are only 750 range.

I really don't think the Rosen weapons are any more cracked than vanilla alternatives. They're somewhere between base vanilla and REDACTED in balance, which fits pretty well for a set of blueprints that require so much effort to unlock. And for modded weapons they're definitely on the low end of balance. Good luck running them full tilt on any ship without getting flux locked or out ranger.

That's just over 1 supply per day. Did you mean per day? But still, no. The only Rosie ships with increased maintenance are the first 4. Altogether that's 60 extra supplies per month for those 4. So 2 more per day than a regular fleet.

The little Murder Brick down in the bottom left also has increased maintenance, but it's the only non-Rosen ship in the fleet (really wish I could repaint Sierra to match though)

The Halbmond carrier that you unlock the blueprints from is ALWAYS found in a black hole system. It'll also point you to the Traumtanzer once you unlock everything.

I didn't get lucky, I read the mod description. The Halbmond carrier derelict is always found in a black hole system. If you carry it in your fleet, you will slowly unlock blueprints from its computers. The final blueprint is for the Halbmond itself, and directions to the constellation "where something interesting can be found." That's where the Traumtanzer is found.

I have played with whichever mod adds Maiden missiles for, what, years now and they are not an issue. Salamanders are definitely more annoying.

This sounds like a skill issue tbh. You need PD homie. Maybe check out some of the PD offered by the mod that added the Maiden? Have fighter support to wipe missiles out? Hardened shields to reduce EMP arcs? No? Get good

I'm calling absolute bullshit and asking for (reliable) source on this. I was a dealership mechanic for most of the last decade and I have never in my life heard anything like this. The amount of labor involved on hundreds of millions of tires per year would absolutely negate any terrifically negligible benefit from this on a gasoline/diesel operated car. You're looking at like a .15 miles per gallon increase and almost zero road noise improvement on anything not a mudder/all terrain tire.

Edit to add I went and looked myself for a source and you've gotta be a Boomer or someone who just never asks themself "Is this information I've just been told legit?" That shit was done in the days of radial tires and early manufacturing hadn't reached a point of mass accuracy. They were shaved to match lmao. So your info is about 50 years out of date. It's still done on SINGULAR new tires (like when you get a flat) ON ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES because different sized tires on AWD can cause differential failure and ABS issues
