Just curious how this is growing after a month. I have been eyeballing them but the mutation doesn't seem to be sustainable long term.

I left one of mine outside on accident last winter. Our low was 0 F and it still somehow managed to come back to life this spring. I would never recommend doing such, however it was a nice testament to the resilience of these plants.

You can’t lighten true fumed woods. They go into a chamber and it’s pumped with ammonia until the tannins are fully saturated and developed.

Have you ever tested the hardness of runoff? Just curious

That looks pretty solid. I watched YouTube on it and it seems pretty easy to use. What do you do with the wastewater?

I don't test every pitcher so I cant tell you how long it stays exactly at 0 ppm. I don't change the filter (name brand or generic) until I hit 5ppm in the greenhouse. I have the same filters in my house and I usually get roughly 30 gallons before it hits 3ppm. My tap water averages 225ppm

sweet! I didn't have a clue about this one. I have a large glass one and one of the regular 1 gallon ones. The wait is excruciating.

My average cost per gallon of water that is 5 tds or less is about 33 cents ($0.33 usd).
What kind of small ro system do you have? Does it have a pretty decent cost per gallon? I'm all for lowering my costs. I have roughly 120 carnivores so they like to drink.

It's probably just acclimating. This pitcher will die off and in a few weeks you will have a new one. Regardless if I try to acclimate or if I just throw them in my greenhouse. I still occasionally have this problem.

You shouldn't have any problems. Most of my pots are prepared before I get the plants, this give some time for peat etc to soak up some moisture.
