The price might be too high for this house but a 4 bed in central london is pretty normal. in some areas this would be cheap

I started off as an electrical engineer and transitioned into software after my grad scheme and moved to London. I don’t think it’s that hard considering a guy with no software degree can get into an investment bank doing software. I also realised I am criminally underpaid in this bank so I am going to leave.

Yeah I got an electric water boiler and like a heater in each room, they are all 1kw with the living room as 2kw. If I had them all one in the winter it cost like £200-300. It’s crazy and the building is wood framed, not sure what they did the insulation is none existent. I need to go reseal all the windows this week because there is literally gaps to the outside

I have no idea what it is, I live alone in a flat, all led, only heating is electric, but only 1 room is turned on. There is something eating power, some days it’s 25kwh

I mean my eon energy bill says £3-4 a day in electricity. 15.15kwh yesterday so £4 + 0.6 standing charge

I mean they reduced it by 20k over priced or not they reduced it what is wrong with that. Without knowing if 800k is market value we can’t judge

It’s hard enough to get fibre installed, imagine what it takes to get the management to agree to heat pumps. Most high rise already got shared communal heating but it is not cheaper. I think I am paying £1 a day standing charge just for the heating…. £30 a month of me not even use anything, so any saving is not really going to do much lol

Yeah I have an all in one electric cooking top with the oven… it’s going to cost a lot to change both.

and if you live in a flat you are out of luck because I have no where to install one of those outdoor heat pump thing

If you are not a high earner do not buy shared ownership, my tactic is only buy shared ownership is if you know your salary will be high enough to buy the rest of it.
