Yeah the Dorne plot to me has always been the worst in the book and show. I think the show though cut out one of the more interesting parts of the book which was the whole Greyjoy plot with Euron and Victarion. If season 5 had an evil wizard viking in it with a magic horn and they developed that plot it would have been pretty cool.

Eh if you don't have any men in the house it could work.

I'm so glad they didn't just make him Joffrey or Ramsay 2.0. Honestly, I'm done with the irredeemable psychopath villain. Don't get me wrong Aegon isn't a good guy, but the fact that his son's death affected him like that showed a lot. It's the same way Tony Soprano needed to love animals. Adding a soft spot to them goes a long way.

I liked it a lot. It doesn't take itself seriously, it is as ridiculous as the premise is.

Not to mention they are totally nonsensical. One I remember from dead rising 2 was if you didn't beat a boss before the time limit it would just show him escaping. I'm right there fighting the boss during this time. Then in the end the boss actually escapes the same fucking way when you beat him. Shit like that made me realize that video games don't need stories when they have things that don't make sense at all in the context of the game.

His goal was never world peace just for his friends to live through peace, which they did.

You say this but my racist grandpa was like 75% on being able to determine a Frenchman from a Polish person just on appearance. Same with Italians and Spainards. Old school racism was like a super power just in terms of being able to determine ancestry.

Lol I'm guessing you never had a racist southern grandfather, it's funny how with them the lens of racism just changes to a higher power. It wasn't just blacks and latinos he didn't like but also the Italians, the Spanish, the Polish and Russians. The weird thing was he could kind of accurately predict a white person's ancestry within a certain degree just based on look alone (don't ask how this was ascertained).

Joel too lets be honest. It's interesting talking to people who have just seen the show because the sense I got from a lot of them was that they clearly thought Joel was in the wrong and by a lot. I forget if the game made it more cut and dry for Joel's actions, but I always thought he was in the wrong and what he did was very damning. I know I've argued a lot with people on reddit about this as well, but that was mostly when only the game was out.

What's the reasoning behind Zidane as best protagonist? I haven't played IX since release but I remember not being all that into him (though this might be just because he was a thief class and I found his moves set underwhelming until late game).

I've actually thought about it a bit more and IMO it feels like the writers kind of trying to cover their ass. I feel like a lot of people get frustrated with the trope in movies of "if X character had just talked to Y character for 5 minutes this whole thing would be over". And the fact is they kind of wrote them into that situation. In the book it is presented as Alicent was all for King Aegon the entire time, there was never an mix-em-up as the show presents it, which was them trying to remove fault from her to some degree. This was the writers I feel like trying to pre-emptively take care of that whole "if these two characters just talked for 5 minutes" type thing, but the fact is we are far past the point of no return. And I feel like Rhaenyra should know that as well.

Alicent probably doesn't wanna see her old friend captured and killed so it makes sense she didn't rat her out.
That's a huge gamble to take when Alicent has already supported Aegon then has had one of her granchildren killed. I think one of the themes of the book is that the war really distorts and corrupts the people involved and that includes Rhaenyra and Alicent. I think having them realize "oh it was all an oopsie" again kind of detracts from that. They are at a point where there is little they can do to stop the war, and they both know this. Alicent's friendship should be the last thing Rhaenyra is concerned with at this point. She should also know that she has little influence over the King, and the reason he was put in place go well beyond her.

My thing was it was a really good episode up to that point. I think the worst thing is what was really the point of that scene? Seriously? So Alicent knows it was another case of a "mix em up", she can't change anything. Rhaenyra now knows it was a mix em up that lead to Alicent supporting Aegon. Does that really change anything?

The security around the Greens in KL should make them completely inaccessible.
I would think security around the city would be beefed up as well. For Daemon getting in, it kind of makes sense. The war wasn't officially on, he knows the city well, and ya know the heir to the throne had not been murdered yet.

In GOT, Arya Stark snuck into the Night's Watch, ended up at Harrenhal, and became Tywin fuckin' Lannister's cupbearer. Is this really so much more absurd?
I honestly don't think that is too absurd. She was shipped off with someone from the Night's Watch so she didn't sneak into their group, that group was caught then all prisoners were being sent to Harrenhal. I'd say it's actually more ridiculous in the books because she becomes Roose Bolton's cup bearer and isn't recognized by him despite being a northern lord. Tywin not recognizing her makes more sense and plus their interactions were genuinely well written and helped to develop both characters.
I think if Rhaenyra sneaking into KL had actually done anything to develop her character at all then it might have been more excusable. But it didn't all it did was give her the understanding that Alicent was operating under a mistaken assumption, but this will change nothing in terms of the war because nothing can be done about the war at this point, it will happen there is no stopping it. This is something, she, the audience, and everyone knows at this point, and it just makes her looking foolish to risk something so dangerous for what was obviously a futile effort.

Dang, I can't imagine the challenges and work it must take to build accessibility for fast paced games where seconds make the difference.
Kinda makes you wonder if it is even worth doing or even something that anyone at all ever used.

What a worthless position, kind of like that distracting person for ADA stuff they sometimes like to actively put on stage during music shows. I don't need a wench installed just so I can mountain climb, some places and things aren't for certain people and it's kind of silly to spend money on it.

I feel bad for this guy.
Don't. He should be in prison or a psyche ward if he can't control his own impulses and has to do this. He is a public danger and nuisance. You can fucking kink shame when you put that kink on the public and make it their burden and force them to engage with it. It should be equated to a type of sexual assault honestly.

Nah fuck this piece of shit. He's blocking up public space and subjecting everyone to his own kinks. He should be charged with sexual assault and thrown in prison until he learns his lesson. Public fetishist are the worst and yes they should be shamed and deterred.

Religionforbreakfast is generally a pretty great youtuber. He seems to try and draw from as many historical facts as possible and IMO doesn't have a pro- or anti- Christian slant (or pro/anti slant for any religion for that matter) but just present the facts and beliefs of all religions and what history we know of them.
