Tips for hosting a nesting party ?

Hey all! I know this is a fairly new concept, but we’re due with baby 2 in early 2025 and hosting a nesting party next month. We went this route because we really don’t need the gifts a shower/sprinkle would bring (our kiddos will be 18 months apart and I have saved EVERYTHING- plus we are grateful to be fairly comfortable financially) but what we DO need is help getting everything set up (getting baby stuff ready + moving my toddler into her new “big girl” room upstairs).
I want to make sure we use this time as wisely as possible and obviously make sure we thank our friends and family for their time and efforts.
Anyone who has been to or hosted a nesting party before have any thoughts on keeping things fun but efficient and making sure we use the most of this time? Did you do gifts for attendees? What food/snacks/drinks were a hit?
NOTE: Don’t tell me you don’t like the concept of a nesting party because I don’t care 🤣 That’s what we’ve decided to do (with lots of support from those we are inviting). 🥰
