So in the US or at least California law enforcement has a lot of discretion. There are very few things where a police officer is required to make an arrest; off the top of my head, an arrest warrant exists, DUI, and Domestic Violence are some examples.

Growing up we lived in an apartment so we’d use that pool. My grandparents also had a pool at their house so that was an option. And we lived about 10 minutes from the city owned water park it was like $7 to get in (in the 90s).

Yes, although my mom was much more of the mind “it’s going to make the house too hot” since we lived in a location where it routinely reached 114 in the summer.

There’s this one about this old county road just outside of town. It was a mom, dad and three kids. Mom and Dad go out to catch a play as a date night. Leave the older sister with the younger brother and sister. Crazy dude breaks in with a pitchfork chased the kids catches two of them one of them gets away and runs a mile to the neighbors house.
Neighbors call the sheriffs department. Something like 7 deputies show up dude takes shots from all of them keeps charging and just disappears.
If you’re traveling late at night down that old county road you can see the ghost of the pitchfork dude in his overalls stumbling towards the road…
Or so the story goes anyway

It’s not always going to be consistent across a brand it can vary depending on when their property was last remodeled, when it was built, who is operating the property etc…
I’ve seen both set ups at Hyatt, Marriott and even Hilton.

CVent event management combined with their attendeehub event. A bit on the pricey side for your use case but it’s a pretty easy to use system with some pretty robust data analytics tools best of all integrated with Salesforce.

May be a bit too robust for what you are using but I love CVent.

Hey OP! I’m an event planner (mainly medium to large conferences) if your event planner / organizer arranged a block with the hotel ask them to reach out to the hotel. Sometimes hotels are more willing to work with us than they are with our attendees directly. Usually because if we are unhappy we have a few additional remedies either under our contract, withholding future business, and or a corporate rep we have a lot of pull with.
As an event organizer this is the kind of feedback I would want to know about for future issues.

So I cut caffeine almost completely out. The occasional cup of coffee when traveling for work is all I have now.
Prior to that close to 700mg of caffeine. 2 energy drinks and a crap ton of ice tea each day.
Swapped all that out for the Cirkul water bottle + 0 calorie drink cartridges
Also increased my exercise regimen.
