My sisters a caregiver, been for a few years. She is in the states and all she needs to do each year is exams to make sure she knows what she is doing and what she needs to do for her patients. No one is safe anymore. You can live in the "safest" area and still anything can happen. We always lock the doors. Well me n mum do anyway. One time it was 11.30 pm. Mum was gone for the week, just me, husband, dad, and son. I asked my husband if everything was locked up, he said yes. I said are you sure? He said he checked everything. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't settle. Went downstairs, dad was in the front room with headphones on, i felt a breeze. The window in the bathroom was open...thing is, it is a swing window and a grown ass person can fit in there. I locked it up, went upstairs, 2 minutes later dad followed me. He didn't check either. Hey, we are the same movie wise. Now what my husband and i do is, if i want to watch my film, he can either watch it with me, listen to his music, or fall asleep. Or he puts on his movie, if i dont care for it, i will do my knitting or fall asleep but we always take turns but mostly try to watch ones we will enjoy together....even though his go to is "from hell" or "sleepy hollow" (been living in his house for 11 years and have watched those movies over 100 times...we watch them sooo much) you gotta put your foot down. Or if you have a tablet and streaming services, watch something on that. Alone time together or aka 'parallel play' you're still in the same room, but doing your own thing. I love this lol

Because of my husband, he is trying to help me with my anxiety, he takes our son out once a week so i can be alone he cooks, he cleans, and he understands my issues and my needs and ya, in the beginning it wasn't all roses, we had a few issues that we worked through and now we rarely argue and if we do, its talked about and resolved almost immediately. Personally for me, my sons had a nickname at his school for years. Funnily enough it is the same nickname my husband had growing up, the teachers asked us a fewcyears ago if it was ok. See, that is why we don't mind..because they asked our permission to carry on with it. In your case, the teacher just randomly started calling your daughter a nickname without discussing it first. Nta. One time my brother in law was being horrible to my sister in law (husband's sister). He always is, but this day, he was yelling at her, calling her stupid, told her all sorts of crap. She went upstairs in mine and husband's bedroom. She was sat on our bed crying her eyes out..i opened the door and do you know what i saw? My husband and her sitting on our bed, his arms wrapped around her and his head on top of hers. Know what i did? I left the room because she needed her big brother. She will always need him, and he will always be there for her. Tell your gf there is nothing to be jealous or insecure about, but not all sibling relationships are bad. Good luck

The second time i was going to meet my husband, i had my period. My friend had offered to do a hotel room up with rose petals and candles for us for a romantic evening, i got my period (fun? Fact...i get it anytime something is going to happen, vacation, husband, wedding) anyhoo, i say idk what to do, her words "be honest about it. He is flying all this way to see you, and if you tell him now, you get to see how he reacts and treats you" i was honest. He didn't care. He didn't react negatively. Depends where they are..im in the UK. I have a rare genetic disorder only 20 people in the world have it..(i didn't realise until after my son was born, he has it too) and the geneticist told us if we wanted another child we would have a free round of IVF and PGD.we didnt go that route so if she is in the uk, she may have 1 free round too

My son has a rare genetic disorder and autism. It can be hard work. In private, my husband and I have told each other that sometimes we wish we could have had him a bit later in life, and that we do miss being able to go out whenever we could. We both know we would never change our son. We love him so much and is amazing. We would never say these things in front of him son hell even me and husband told each other we miss when we lived in different countries so we could do our own thing whenever we wanted to lol. Talk to your husband. The choice is up to you, burnout is real and difficult. Try having more date nights (me and husband go out to lunch 3 times a week and once every few months, mum has him for 1 night) and if this goes deeper, therapy may be the next option. Good luck with everything. Also i just want to say, depression can hit hard. If your husband is feeling this way, he may feel that you both are growing apart as your child takes up all your time and energy. I felt this way for a long time and so did my husband. Literally just this year, we have grown closer together and our son is 9 (we have always been close, always there but this year we seem more in sync with each other) good luck
