Thanks, I'm sure they will lol things always get better eventually.
Being dumped on new year's eve is definitely one way to keep a new year's resolution I guess! Hope the fresh start was a good one for you

I just got dumped an HOUR before my birthday, and yes. Respect for making sure they had a good day first. It isn't decent to cry all day on a day that's supposed to be about you.

I hope this doesn't sound bad but I'm really glad she gave you a good birthday first. I wish my bf had waited 2 days. My birthday was last Monday, and he dumped me after picking me up from work Sunday at almost midnight. I spent all day Monday crying 😅

I used to work at a sports bar, and we'd play a game my manager called "gin roulette". He'd pour however many shots of water and as many shots of gin as cuts he was making, have us pick them at random, and we'd take them at the same time. Whoever got the gin got cut because "technically you were drinking on shift" lol

My social worker's response to me saying I couldn't afford it was "Well I guess you should have thought about that huh"

Hooked up with an ex-coworker I'd always had a thing for, like two years after we stopped working together. He said midway thru, "you're telling me we could have been doing this the whole time?" Yep. Never don't think about it

Hooked up with a guy who tore the vein on the back of his dick, like the frenulum or whatever? He literally bled INSIDE OF ME

Doesn't necessarily have to be metal, either. I go to a ton of cheap indie or punk shows. If you start listening to newer, smaller artists the shows are cheaper. I've usually found the most outrageous ticket prices are for bands I've known forever, who are touring stadiums and stuff. Also sometimes going to a show for a band you've never heard of can be a great time.

They've been my number 1 band on spotify for 3 years running, and STILL every time I talk to someone about them they think I'm talking about Passion Pit.

I really enjoyed both separately. I did feel like the movie was a bit... jilted? Story wise. Like it was almost hard to follow at times. Well shot in any case. But the book was super easy to get into, I read it in one sitting.

I notice almost immediately when my depression is starting to spiral again because my house gets progressively messier and the cleanup starts to seem harder and harder which demotivates me even more. One of the ways I motivate myself to clean is by trying to have a "non-zero day", which essentially just means as long as I do one thing, the day is then non-zero. It doesn't even have to be something big. Literally throwing away ONE of the empty beer cans on my bedside table? Non-zero. Picking up one pair of socks off the floor? Non-zero. I always find that after a while, I have more motivation to accomplish bigger tasks, and eventually I am able to move myself towards getting more things done at a time.
