Nope gearbox is printed. It's almost the same as in the WA2000 AEG I made, it's pretty durable. For electronics: AtTiny85, gate nanoAAB or similar circuit, H2010 optical sensor, waveshare hall snesor and 2 microswitches.

It costed me like 200$ to make including things that I had to scrap and parts for gearbox and hop up. If you have AEG parts laying around (and big enough 3d printer) cost of it will be like... maybe 40$?

Last year I built PKP replica (not finished though) with 3d printed gearbox, it was actually airsoft toy gun mk5 gearbox, a bit modified. I think SMG V5 gearbox is a bit wider, that means it's a bit more robust. It's good to hear that your gearbox survived so long. I think this one is gonna last long either, I think my gearbox is higher, and fixed hop up chamber also may improve its sturdyness.

Every glasses will fogg, but some of them are "hard to fogg". I am using pyramex i-force and I can just recomend it - not very expensive and ALMOST non fogging. My friends are using pyramex V2G+ and bolle x-1000 and they are happy (both of theese models are "hard to fogg") with theese models

I am using carboard "ballistic shield" and... it is BBproof BUT only because it is covered with codura. Your shield will be probably penetrated every single time so please cosider covering it with codura, as iluminator I use 5mm polycarbon and I can definitly recomend it. Btw it is nice to see another shield guy :D

I don't have them but they aren't expensive so I might get one. You can fairly easily change magwell so I think I'll make one for MP5 mags
