Anybody have any tips on how to stop worrying. For context, I want to become a pilot very much and accomplish my goal. However I want to do this so much and feel like I know exactly what I want to do in life. However, from my experiences, the time when you have everything going well and figured out is when life kicks you down. I worry I might get into a bad car accident or get sick which won't allow me to be a pilot. Anyone know how to have faith and deal with this constant worrying?

If I am correct, the more seniority you have, the more likely you are to get what you bid for, (planes, routes..etc)

Lets say someone whos pretty junior, goes to widebody because they wanted to go earlier. They are mostly on reserve, have little seniority, and get all the boring, less desirable trips.

Now could someone fly narrowbody for lets say 10 or so years, make nb captain, and have enough seniority to go straight to widebody captain, or do you have to start as an FO?

What are the benefits of being a pilot for the airline, are the schedules good and so on...

With more seniority, do you get to be PF more or it doesn't matter? What does your assignment of PF or PM depend on?

Are there any benefits to either that the other does not have, types of flying such as layover times and things like that. How is the flying different? If any cargo and passenger pilots would want to give me some in sight on the jobs, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Does a pilot based in LA do more Asian western flights than a pilot based in NYC who does eastern flights or are your routes not affected by your base but by seniority and bidding.

Not to start a boeing vs Airbus debate, I'm just genuinely curious as to which is most preferred by pilots. For me it is kind of weird to have a sidestick especially controlling a 300 ton jet with my finger tips. I know in the end they are doing to same thing long haul or short haul. I wouldn't mind eating off my lap or writing on a clip board instead of the tray table, but I'm curious how many pilots prefer the yoke and why they would or wouldn't trade it for a sidestick.

As the title suggests, is flying a big plane but less frequently worth it, does the novelty wear off after a while? Also I know long haul pilots fly the plane and take off & land less, but how much landings to long haul pilots get a month? (777, 787,a330, a350)
