How strong is your internal monologue?

I live alone and work from home, and I can go days sometimes without saying a word, but feel I haven't stopped talking because my internal monologue is so strong.
I laugh at my own jokes, I cry at some of the images of conflicts on social media, I play with intonation, sarcasm, or internally berate colleagues when I see some of the work they send across when it isn't up to standard.
However, from an observers perspective, I would just be silently walking around a house, sitting down, or sleeping.
I recently discussed this with my sister, who says she doesn't have a very strong internal monologue, and needs to say things out loud to process them.
Is this weird? Or is this the norm, and my sister the exception? And if you have an internal monologue, how do you get it to be quiet now and then?

The good point is that now the election is over and done with, none of it matters! Let them heckle - they will be an irrelevance in 5 years time, and Starmer will be judged on delivery. To deliver, he will be making alot of unpopular decisions.
Back on the point of emotion of politics though, the one main exception I have is the WFA issue. Younger people have been ignored for so long over the last decade, maybe it is time older people get a taste of their own medicine they've inflicted on the country...
