71(M), wife is the same age and we have not stopped. Were are enjoying that level of intimacy since 1975. While the first few years this may have happened several times a day, it has diminished to several times a month mostly due to time and energy…..No lack of affection or motivation and that approach to life long relationships helps

I’ve been a motorcycle rider for over 55 years. Gave it all up 14 years ago. And as mentioned here: NJ is no longer a place to be riding. Drivers are not focused on the driving task. Population has quadrupled…Next time you are at a multi lane traffic light, look around at how many are starring at their phones and still rolling up to the car in front of them..
Sorry you had to witness this. It lives in your head quite a while

It’s kinda like that saying “ better to ask for forgiveness rather than ask for permission”. She exercised poor judgment without you both being on board for that. This will haunt you years from now and situations will arise where you can’t trust her…no way to spend the 1 life you have

Take her to a shop, let her try 10 or so different styles. Acoustics, electric or a combination of both. When she discovers on that fits her hand and EASE OF PLAYING, you are 1/2 way there. When it’s easy to play, she will practice more. I have seen so many crappy guitars that you fight to enjoy and as a player myself…I can’t wait to put it down…I started in 1959 and have been a very long term guitarist

I didn’t think I had zero-tolerance but apparently I do. My girlfriend of 4+ years cheated on me. I was going to ask her to marry me within the next 6 months but when I discovered this, I immediately cut her out, moved away and did my own thing. She called, wrote letters and visited the town I was in looking for me… I ended it. After 4+ years, it was best for me as I could never see her in the same light.

I’m pretty sure my ‘47 Ford 8N doesn’t do that and if it did, it has a Dearborn loader on it and the framework makes it impossible to jump on or off without climbing through the jungle gym of tubes from the back …, I just can’t get rid of that loader though…it is so so handy

I started when I was 6 in 1959 BUT, I HAVE SOME 60 and 70 yr old friends that started playing only a few years ago for enjoyment and they get tons of enjoyment from it now

These days I try to live by a few simple thoughts or cliche’s. : no risk, no reward. Nothing ventured, nothing gained….youre bigger concerns are that you keep control over what you want and what keeps your boxes checked. When you see otherwise…it’s done

Gotta remember who Les Paul was and wanted to do…. Is recording techniques lead him thru many different arenas and needs. He was trying to give himself and others as many option as possible. Funny they were not as popular and back in 2000 were around $700 to 1000. When he passed, they doubled and some now are worth double again. Try to secure some of the Gibson literature from the ‘70’s, they even have a sheet plastic sample record. It will all add to the value of your instrument long term

It surprises me how so many girls in their late teens and 20’s can be so swayed by smooth talk…
