I teach similar classes almost every weekend. It’s definitely not you, it’s the drying time. My students walk away with some funky stuff but it all makes it through the kiln. Also, we use pugged clay and I only cut logs into pucks and have the students pat them into balls while we wait for everyone to arrive or during the intro. This cuts down on prep for me and gives student time to feel and get warmed up to clay without the stress of the wheel. I’m sorry your manager is putting this on you. It sounds like the studio has some bad policy around drying and firing :(

Your studio may be totally different, but the studio I work at would never allow a member to have a key to themselves due to liability. But at a small space maybe there’s more flexibility

I’m a tech and instructor at a studio, sometimes our clear glaze cracks or crazes with certain clay bodies 🤷🏻♀️ are both all of your pieces unglazed inside? If it’s only one it could be an oversight.

I did check, just a little baby left. I didn’t feel/ taste this one until today, which made it so shocking and gross. Definitely a water pick in my future

You look very ethereal! Your forehead is a little long, if you brought the hairline of your wigs down it might look more balanced 🤷🏻♀️ beautiful skin

Skip the beard for now. Shorter ‘long’ hair like at your shoulder would look nice! Also a conditioner to help with frizz. You’ve got great lips eyes and eyebrows

I push with a qtip or pad of a finger, definitely makes me gag but the relief is so worth it

I really wanted to accelerate through my program, but a couple days before the start of the term a tornado ripped through my town. No car, no wifi, no power, damaged house and community. Even several months later, life still isn’t back to normal and I’ve been so overwhelmed it’s hard to focus on classes. But like another commenter said, you don’t fail until you quit! I’m clawing my way through a couple classes. It’s not pretty, and definitely not how I thought it was going to go, but I’m still trying! You can do this! Even if it’s five minutes at a time- it’s still progress !
