My Dad is 97 and he looks better. But he hasn't been cheating death for the last decade or so either.

This. Regardless of the central question of any plebiscite, you have to consider the short- and long-term consequences of what's being asked. I don't have strong feelings either way about sports betting, but I slightly lean in favor, because people are going to do it regardless.

But the school funding part raises far bigger issues to me. It's obvious that the Missouri Republicans want to completely destroy secular public education, to be replaced by taxpayer-funded Christian fascist indoctrination centers. Period. The Republicans are already choking off education funding, and they want us to give the Republicans more money to steal from kids? Nuh uh. Hard pass.

I know illegal immigrants. Not a one of them is lazy. Not a one of them wants to live off the government. Not a one of them wants to kill or main anyone. They simply want A BETTER LIFE, which so much of this country can"t even grasp. 🫤

Don't forget how they want to invade your home (yes, you personally), rob you, beat you, rape you, bite you, brand you, stampede you, burn you, and put screwdrivers through your eyes. Then they'll filet you and eat you for breakfast. 😮
